Alongside the [[prodid:4034]], BenQ's new Joybook S41 (V18) is a pleasant improvement over the previous generation of BenQ notebooks. The new design i...
HDMI, Performance, SRS
No S-Video, Lacking media features to compliment the HDMI port
We like the steps BenQ has taken with its new range, including the HDMI port and a solid component base. We do feel that more could have been added to enhance the media aspect of this powerful machine, but otherwise it's a pleasure to use.

As possibly the only 14.1-inch machine to hold the powerful Nvidia GeForce 8600M GS graphics card, the JoyBook S41 offers fantastic performance for a portable unit. If only it had dedicated multimedia buttons and better internal speakers.
Integrated Webcam ; Powerful graphics performance ; Inexpensive
No multimedia buttons ; Underpowered speakers

When it comes to BenQ notebooks, our impression is that of affordable and competent workhorse systems, rather than glamour. The company's new Santa Rosa based notebook, the Joybook S41 tries to be different with its unique pop art inspired design on...

In today's environment of common notebook components, similar design and open systems, It's difficult to get excited about a notebook. That was until we saw the new BenQ S41 Notebook which quite simply is among the best in the world today.
At a mere $1900 this notebook is pure pedigree, from the design and functionality to the sheer quality of the components. And don't be frightened by the manufacturer, chances are that if you have a Dell or HP notebook, BenQ or one of its subsidiaries...
All this beast needs is another 1GB of RAM on top of the 1GB it comes with and maybe a tie on the power cord so that they wrap up nice and tidy when stuffing into a small bag
Simply among the best we've seen to date. Page: 1 2 3 [4]

BenQ's latest Joybook, the S41 leads the company's charge of notebooks refreshed with the Santa Rosa platform. Aided by NVIDIA's DirectX 10 compatible GeForce 8600M GS graphics chipset, this notebook could be one of the bargains of the year.

Excellent notebook for the price; Have been using mine for a year now. Can play most games at decent quality and fps. battlefield 2 on high runs fine, stalker fine.
Fast, very fast ; Good graphics performance for a laptop ; Small only 2kg ; good screen brightness ; Love the design, many people say they like the look of it
loud, fan runs max most of time. Don't notice when playing games but if typing etc you notice it ; DVD drive can be sensitive; many people have no issue; I have, will be calling in the 2 year warranty so shouldn't be an issue
