The Alienware m15 R3 is a slim gaming machine with strong performance and a 300 Hz display, but it runs hot.
Attractive, sleek design ; Plenty of ports ; Strong gaming performance ; 300 Hz display is great for eSports
300 Hz display is a major battery drain ; Keyboard gets really warm
The Alienware m15 R3 is an attractive gaming machine with lots of expandability options and a 300 Hz screen for eSports, but it runs hot and that display hogs the battery.

Razer and MSI one-up Alienware with thinner design and better battery performance
Comfortable typing experience ; 300Hz refresh rate display is dazzling ; Attractive design
Small trackpad ; RAM can’t be upgraded ; Not the terrific value
Alienware’s M15 R3 gaming laptop is the company’s thinnest model yet. It has a comfortable keyboard and a winning design, but some major faults include bad battery life, non-replaceable RAM, and a trackpad that’s too small.

Powerful specs at the cost of battery life
Beautiful design ; Gorgeous OLED 4K display ; Good overall and gaming performance ; Strong speakers ; Comfortable customizable keyboard
Subpar battery life ; Expensive
The Alienware m15 offers high-powered specs, a breathtaking display and a comfortable, customizable keyboard, but the battery life could be better.

It is Stuff's favourite gaming laptop and it has had a few enhancements done.
Best design ever ; Great display ; Minor improvements = major impact ; 32GB RAM Upgrade ; Keeps its cool under pressure
Glossy trim still remains ; Expensive
Stuff’s favourite gaming laptop comes with more polish and prowess than ever, still the one to beat

Runs any game on ultra smoothly, have had no issues so far with gameplay. Very customisable and easy to use.
Fans are very loud, and will start at most game launches. Gets very hot, although has not overheated on long uses.
Consumer review (currys.co.uk)
Superb design Runs Hi end games to a respectable standard for a lap top.
Cost Battery life

Great performance and it looks amazing
It runs hot! Like 90 degrees plus hot. Fans are really loud if you want to try and deal with the heat. Even too hot at idle. Its really expensive for what you're getting. The ram is soldered so not expandable.
