Refreshed with 11th-gen Intel processors, this bovine-branded thin-and-light laptop is a bargain.
Good battery life, performance for price ; Nice-looking design ; Useful port assortment
Keyboard isn't backlit ; Imprecise touchpad ; Fingerprint reader is hit-or-miss

Walmart's latest 14-inch Gateway laptop has flaws but offers good performance, battery life, and connectivity for a low price, making it a decent overall bargain.

On paper, everything about the Gateway is lucrative from its affordable price point, Tiger Lake Core i5 CPU, 16 GB RAM, 1080p IPS display, and 512 GB SSD. Dig a little deeper, however, and some of the drawbacks cut a bit too deep.
good colors out of the box;relatively quiet fan;easy serviceability;long battery life;inexpensive
processor performance is slightly below average;USB-C port has power delivery issues;Enter key will sometimes not register;display is relatively dim;slow charge rate
