Chromebooks typically offer great value for money, but devices like the HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook are making the case for a luxury option.
Excellent performance ; Top quality build and great keyboard ; Super bright display with capable touchscreen ; Surprisingly good (and loud) speakers
Middling battery life ; No headphone jack ; Twice the price of other good Chromebooks
The latest high-end Chromebook to shoot for the Google Pixelbook Go’s crown, the HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook (2023) comes close, especially at $1,000. It’s better than the more expensive Windows version too. With a swish design, a great keyboard and...

The Dragonfly Pro is a a new and interesting beast from HP. It's a stylish prosumer machine gunning for the MacBook Air.
Quality design and build ; Good productivity performance ; Full size keyboard ; Good stereo speakers
Minimal ports ; Too heavy to be ultraportable ; The support upsell
HP’s MacBook contender offers a compelling proposition for Windows users seeking a productivity champion in or out of the office. The Dragonfly Pro (2023) doesn’t have any deal-breaking weaknesses. Though it’s a bit heavy, the keyboard layout won’t be...

The HP Dragonfly Pro was so close to greatness
Excellent performance ; Beautiful HD touchscreen with HDR ; Keyboard feels great ; Solid sound and webcam quality ; 24/7 customer service is pretty convenient
Overheating and battery issues in some units ; Too pricey for its audience ; 24/7 customer service is a paid subscription after a year
The HP Dragonfly Pro has it all: great design, a lightweight and thin form factor, great performance, and a lovely display and keyboard. But some units have overheating and battery issues which, when combined with its higher pricetag, could be a...

Battery and software woes complicate this expensive and heavy laptop aimed at freelancers.

The HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook is an incredibly fast and well-built machine, stocked with modern components. It's expensive, but comes with 24/7 live support.
Extremely fast ChromeOS performance Excellent, bright display Good keyboard and superior haptic touchpad Solid build quality Convenient live support
Expensive Below average battery life
“With muscle to spare and on-demand support, the HP Dragonfly Pro proves Chromebooks are ready to work.”

HP's new Dragonfly Pro Chromebook is a new premium product targeting ChromeOS enthusiasts. It's a unique device with many great features, including an RGB keyboard. It performs well, but some areas need improvement.
Good performance ; Excellent 1,200-nit screen ; RGB keyboard ; Great audio ; 8MP webcam
No headphone jack ; Disappointing battery life ; Pricey as Chromebooks go ; ChromeOS still has its glitches
I love using Chromebooks like this. It’s a really nice machine, and the RGB keyboard (while basic) is a unique offering that some customers will certainly jump at. But I think to earn a $999 price (which is as expensive as any consumer-facing...

We like the HP Dragonfly Pro business laptop's zippy performance, customizable macro keys, and year of exclusive support, but they don't quite outweigh its meager port selection and confusing battery life results.

HP has released the Dragonfly Pro, an AMD-powered Windows laptop with a nice chassis and great battery life. I love almost everything about it. But I don't love that HP is pushing a pricey subscription service alongside it.
Heavy-hitting performance ; Great battery life ; Well-built and pretty machine
No headphone jack ; Only 1920 x 1200 display options ; I don’t love the focus on subscription-based customer service
Ultimately, I think this Dragonfly is great hardware. The lack of a headphone jack is a disappointment, but the combination of performance and battery life that it offers is better than I’ve seen from a Windows PC in quite some time.

With a gorgeous display, a sharp webcam, and deluxe tech support, HP's Dragonfly Pro Chromebook is the most elegant ChromeOS laptop on Earth—but it should have more ports.

HP's latest Dragonfly Chromebook is heavily influenced by Google's Pixelbook, and we're pleased about it.
Great webcam ; Crisp and colorful display ; Sturdy, sleek metal design ; Good performance ; Excellent audio
Less than 10 hours of battery life ; Steep price for a Chromebook
The HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook is a potent and capable laptop that is heavily influenced by Google’s Pixelbook. Sleek styling, and good performance make this premium Chromebook a compelling alternative to Windows or macOS laptops.
