The HP Envy 13 (2021) is an affordable laptop with high-end features, including Intel's 11th Gen processor and an Nvidia GPU.
Affordable price compared to rivals ; Dedicated GPU provides decent gaming performance ; Fantastic aluminium build quality ; Comfortable keyboard for typing
Plastic trackpad feels cheap ; Loud fans can be distracting ; Intel chip lags behind AMD and Apple alternatives

The HP Envy 13 is a decent and affordable ultraportable, but it's middling in too many areas and is crowded by lots of great competitors. Here's our full review
Great display ; Solid everyday speed ; Sleek, good-looking body ; Quiet, comfortable keyboard
No HDMI or Thunderbolt ; i7 is too expensive ; Rivals are slimmer and sturdier ; Disappointing trackpad
The HP Envy 13 has a great screen, solid components and a good keyboard. Combine this with lower price of the Core i5 model and you've got a decent everyday ultraportable. But several rivals are better in other areas when you hit the higher specs.

You won't find a much better laptop for around $800 than the HP Envy 13
Bright, vivid display ; Attractive design and clicky keyboard ; Core i5 CPU is speedy ; 11+ hours of battery life ; USB-A and Thunderbolt ports ; Priced to sell
Plastic touchpad ; No IR camera option
HP's Envy 13 re-establishes itself as a top value pick, combining a modern design, fast performance, and long battery life at a reasonable price.

Bright screen
Screen hinges are not as rigid as i would of likes, but that is nit picking
Consumer review (currys.co.uk)
The touch screen and way you can position the screen is brilliantly designed. Also for such a small compact size the overall power of it is brilliant as I run heavy end photography software and it doesn't struggle at all!
Possibly the weight, its surprisingly heavy, this could be to bulk up and make it more rugged but still.

Great performing laptop and very quick to start up when you switch on etc.
No CD/DVD drive
Consumer review (currys.co.uk)
Great size, light, sleek and small
The camera isn't great and video conferencing kills the battery in about 3-4 hours.
