HP has repositioned itself as a premium lifestyle brand. While you might say this first came about several years ago when the company partnered with Beats (now owned by Apple) and launched a range of silver Envy laptops, the HP has doubled down with...

The 'world's thinnest laptop' sets a gold standard
Tasteful glitz and glam ; Tactile keyboard ; Bright and contrast-rich screen ; Wonderful keyboard
Sizzling running temperatures ; Below average battery life ; Spongy trackpad
The HP Spectre claims the title of the 'world's thinnest laptop,' but the real story here is its impressive design and top-notch specs.

Sleek, beautiful, powerful. The Spectre has (almost) everything
Superb design ; USB-C-ness ; So light
Only a Full HD display ; Feels slightly flimsy ; No backlit keyboard

That's not HP's actual name for it, but given the US company's Love of Capitals and trademark signs it might as well be. We realise a larger trackpad might not sound terribly exciting, but small details can often make a big difference, and the HP...
It won't break any speed records, but the HP Spectre 13 is a smart, attractive Ultrabook that can give Apple's MacBook Air a run for its money. The HP's slimline design, high-quality display and reasonable battery life help ensure that it earns its...

On paper, HP's new Spectre 13 ultrabook looks like just another slim 13-inch laptop, with the same basic components and design as dozens of other options in the around-$1,000 category. Its main selling point is a wider-than-normal touch pad, which...
The HP Spectre 13 has a sharp, thin, ultrabook design, high-end upgrade options, a great keyboard, and an extra-wide touch pad.
A handful of other premium ultrabooks offer better value. The extra "control zone" spaces on the touch pad don't feel like a fully realized concept.
The HP Spectre 13 is an excellent all-around ultrabook, with a great keyboard, display, and battery life. The unique Control Zone touch pad is interesting, but I wish it were a little more useful and intuitive.

HP's Spectre 13 is probably the prettiest Windows ultraportable to ever roll off a production line
Superb touchpad Lightweight
Battery life No full-size USB ports
The Spectre 13 is a fantastic ultraportable in its own right. Put the middling battery life to one side and it really doesn’t put a foot wrong. If eye-catching design is as important to you as a great display, brilliant keyboard and solid performance,...

Pretty, powerful and pricey. But worth every penny.
Beautiful, premium design ; Ultra-thin ; 3 USB-C ports (2 of which are Thunderbolt 3) ; Bright, sharp display ; Real laptop performance
Sharp backside corners ; Good battery life, but not the best in class
The HP Spectre is the the best MacBook Air competitor to date.

The latest in HP's most stylish laptop range certainly looks thebusiness. But the Spectre 13 is let down by its surprisinglysluggish performance.
Gorgeous looks, solid build, good battery life
On the heavy side, sluggish processor
The HP Spectre 13 is a great-looking laptop with a good screen andsome genuinely useful software on board for a pretty reasonableprice. But it's let down by its sluggish performance, which reallydoesn't match its appearance. For light use, it's fine,...

The HP Spectre 13-3010ea is a thin-and-light laptop that is smart and good-looking. The key feature is a really big trackpad, so if you are looking for a laptop that is portable and easy to use, look no further. Here's our HP Spectre 13-3010ea review.

There's lots to like about the Spectre 13 -- especially given the low price. For the money, you can expect an attractive design, bright display, fast performance and a generous warranty. But you should also prepare yourself for middling battery life...
Attractive design ; Fast performance ; Good specs for the money ; Bright display ; Generous warranty, Adobe Lightroom included gratis
Heavy for a 13-inch Ultrabook ; Middling battery life, especially considering the heft ; Trackpad needs a driver update ; Shallow keys have an occasionally "sticky" feel
It's easy for us to give the Spectre 13 a good review, but that's partly because the price is so reasonable. Were this priced in line with its peers, we'd have a harder time forgiving its flaky trackpad, sticky keyboard and relatively heavy weight. As...
