Leading the next wave of virtual reality
Refined, thinner styling ; Affordable starting price ; Upscaling for VR functionality
Plastic-y trackpad ; Display renders flat colors
Sporting sharp looks and a unique focus on virtual reality experiences, the Lenovo Legion Y720 is a very alluring mid-range gaming laptop.

Inspired by Roman armies (for real), these new gaming laptops offer option 4K and even a built-in Xbox gamepad receiver.

The Lenovo Legion Y720 has rich audio and works with any wireless Xbox One controller, but it suffers from a dim display and mixed performance.
Awesome speakers; Xbox wireless controller adapter built in; Decent battery life
Ugly; Dim display; Mixed productivity performance and slow SSD

As someone who primarily games on PC, my advice to anyone who's looking to get into PC gaming is usually going to be to build their own. Up until recently, I would have written that my advice would be to always go the custom build route, but thanks to...
GTX 1060 graphics and Core i5/Core i7 make for a powerful machine ; Design isn't overwhelming ; Full-size keyboard is a pleasure to use
Speakers, as always, don't offer full sound with weak bass ; Outer shell attracts fingerprints easily ; Relatively unexciting despite solid internals

The Lenovo Legion Y720 offers a solid mix between performance and price, but the dim display detracts from this otherwise attractive gaming notebook.
Amazing robust audio ; Solid battery life ; Affordable ; Decent Performance

A convincing concept. The equation Lenovo uses for describing their new gaming laptop does appear to make sense: power + portability = perfection. The perfection might not be absolute - but Lenovo does show that they know what a true gaming notebook is...

Gehäuse äußerst anfällig für Fingerabdrucke ; Hohes Gewicht ; Eingeschränkte Leistung im Akku-Betrieb ; Kein SD-Kartenslot
Lenovo succeeded with their new Legion Y720 - the gaming laptop is certainly a worthy competitor. The build quality is high and both the design as well as the color scheme cater to the target audience. The only major drawback are the sensitive surface...

Good performance ; Quality components with room to upgrade ; Design isn't too over the top ; Good starting price with current e-coupons
Included keyboard and mouse are kind of afterthoughts
Just because you want to be able to play some games on your PC doesn’t mean you have to have the newest and most impressive hardware. Save yourself a few bucks and a machine like the Lenovo Legion Y720 desktop should keep you happy for years to come.

Our Lenovo Legion Y720 review finds out if the pricing matches the specs and performance you're getting from one of the latest gaming laptops from the company.
Aluminium finish design ; UHD anti-glare display ; Windows 10 software ; Great performance
Battery life ; Fingerprint magnet
For the specs and price you’re getting in the Y720, it’s hard to pass up. This gaming laptop was able to keep up with the games I played, so I don’t foresee anyone else having issues depending on what games you play.
