Bigger, thinner and lighter than a MacBook Air
Thin, light and attractive design ; Comfy keyboard and trackpad ; Lots of ports ; Gorgeous screen
Below average battery life ; Webcam in the hinge ; No color choices ; No keyboard backlighting
Being a 15-inch laptop that's bigger, stronger, thinner and lighter than the MacBook Air makes this one of the most impressive notebooks of the year already.

Before CES even started, LG released details on a new version of its Gram laptop that has a massive 15.6-inch screen yet still weighs light as a feather.

LG's gram 15 laptop is crazy light but we're worried about how flimsy it is.
At 980g the LG gram 15 is crazily light for a full-size laptop and the specs are pretty decent, too. However, we’re waiting to see how much it costs and the display is worryingly bendy.

The lightest 15-inch laptop on the market doesn't offer much performance for its $1,500 price tag.

The LG gram 15 is a super lightweight laptop with fast performance and a nice 15-inch 1080p display. The build feels a bit flimsy, but the low price helps mitigate complaints.
Very light weight for a 15-inch laptop. Sharp, clear display with thin bezel. Good performance.
Flimsy build. Keys are flat, with shallow travel and no backlighting.
Conclusion The LG gram 15 is an incredibly light laptop with a top-notch 1080p display and good battery life. Its weight alone makes it noteworthy (I couldn't help but show it off around the office so my coworkers could marvel at its design), but it's...

The LG Gram 15 is astoundingly light. While many rival 15.6-inch laptops tip the scales at 4 pounds or more, this featherweight ultrabook weighs just under 2.2 pounds.
Insanely lightweight ; Solid performance during everyday tasks
Unpleasant trackpad ; Screen is dim in direct sunlight

The LG Gram 15 weighs an unbelievable 980g. How did LG achieve this incredible weight? And what compromises, if any, did they make? We reveal all in our review.
Incredibly light and compact for a 15-inch notebook ; Full-sized USB and HDMI ports ; Integrated DAC for better audio ; Sharp display with vibrant colors ; Reasonably priced
Some flex in the body ; Magnesium panels feels a bit plasticky ; Some keyboard keys are too small ; Dim display and only Full-HD resolution ; Below average graphics performance
To sum up, the new 15-inch LG Gram is a design and engineering achievement for 15-inch notebooks. It might not be perfect, but to build a 15-inch notebook that’s so light and portable is truly remarkable. If you have been put off from 15-inch notebooks...

The LG Gram 15 is LG's lightest and biggest screen model, and also their newest. The Gram 15 weighs just 2.16 lbs. (0.98 Kg), which is half the weight of the Dell XPS 15 and HP Spectre x360 15t. It's clad in magnesium alloy and is finished in a gold...
A 2.16 lb., 15.6" laptop! Very attractive, nice display, good keyboard and trackpad. Did I mention how little it weighs
Keyboard isn't backlit, display lid has plenty of flex. Battery life is just OK. Color gamut a little behind the competition
It's rare that we review a laptop that's unlike everything else on the market. The Samsung Notebook 9 comes pretty close, and the 12" MacBook might if it weren't so small. That makes it hard to offer many points of direct comparison, or to say where...
