The ZenBook 3 has redefined the Ultrabook, with the lightest and thinnest Intel Core i-powered laptop on the planet. However, as you might expect, the compromises that are made when you shrink a laptop down are notable, but certainly not deal-breakers.

Undercutting Apple is one thing, but compromising on keyboard, trackpad and screen is quite another. Asus has designed a beautiful laptop, but it's not without its flaws. Here's our Asus ZenBook 3 UX390UA review
The Asus ZenBook 3 UX390UA is an extremely light laptop and one that doesn’t compromise performance or kill battery life as a result. It’s also more affordable than some of the alternatives, particularly in its entry-level spec. However, we’re not...

This 12.5-inch ultrabook mimics the best features of Apple's MacBook, but in a Windows version with a more powerful processor.
Powerful Core i7 processor in a slim, portable package with an excellent touchpad. A helpful USB-C mini-dock is included.
The 12.5-inch display is locked at 1,920x1,080 resolution, and it isn't a touchscreen. Lots of extra bloatware. Battery life isn't as good as the MacBook. Other similarly configured systems cost less.
The Asus ZenBook 3 mimics many of the best features of Apple's 12-inch MacBook, but in a Windows version with a more powerful processor.

Hot on the heels of our Dell XPS 13 review, today we are looking at the brand-new ASUS ZenBook 3. Wh A new, ultra-thin notebook from ASUS – how does it compare with the likes of the Dell XPS 13?
Beautifully thin.
A single USB 3.1 Type-C is the only connection input.
For those looking for the most portable laptop around, you will struggle to do better than the ZenBook 3. However, its tiny size negatively affects the keyboard, trackpad, I/O options and battery life – as such, there are just too many compromises made...

Fast, slim, and handsome, Asus' Zenbook 3 is the super-slim laptop to beat.
Expert review by : Joel Santo Domingo (pcmag.com)
Although it's one of the thinnest and lightest laptops we've seen, the slick Asus ZenBook 3 still manages to deliver outstanding battery life and performance with its Intel "Kaby Lake" Core i7 processor.

Clear direction. Everything comes at a price. If you want super thin, you will have to waive ports – but not performance! After the throttling issues of the HP Spectre 13, the world's thinnest notebook, Asus can pull it off: Performance like a big...
very light and thin, compact dimensions, one-day runtime, sturdy but not completely torsion-resistant, performance without throttling, firm key stroke, ClickPad enables fast workflow, clear microphone recordings, reliable login via fingerprint,...
not many ports, unusable webcam, shallow key travel, limited feedback, weak ClickPad feedback, speakers without bass
The ZenBook 3 UX390UA-GS041T can easily secure a spot among the top subnotebooks – but at the lower end of the ranking. Apple's MacBook 12 (Early 2016), Dell's XPS 13 9360 QHD+ i7, and HP's EliteBook Folio G1 V1C37EA manage better overall ratings, but...

The ultrabooks are currently in vogue as they offer an optimum balance between raw power and portability. Asus too tried to cash in on this latest trend with its Zenbook 3 which steps in the same territory as Apple MacBook or HP Spectre. Recently we...
Great Design and build quality ; Flawless Performance ; Sharp Display and Great Audio ; Long Lasting Battery
Missing Ports ; No touchscreen

Asus Zenbook 3 has several good things going for it. The minute it comes out of the box, it feels very premium with its full metal build.
In comparison to the Macbook, the Asus Zenbook 3 UX390 manages to pack a marginally bigger screen, a newer and more powerful processor along with double the RAM all in a sleek, elegant body that is thinner and lighter than the offering. There’s no...
