The new upgraded Amazon Fire TV Stick (2020) is faster and more powerful than the previous version, but still streams only to 1080p.

Fast navigation and loading ; Supports most if not all services and apps ; Alexa-enabled remote

Only supports up to 1080p ; Excessive promotion of Prime Video content

The Fire TV Stick is the better option, though, if you are fully enmeshed in an Amazon ecosystem that includes other Alexa-enabled devices. As long as you don’t mind a ton of Amazon content promotion.
