LG is a direct competitor to Apple’ small TV box called Apple TV. LG ST600 is slightly bigger and has an external power supply but besides that the two boxes look very similar – at least on the outside.

Nice idea, nice remote control. Gives you access to the BBC HD channels on Iplayer. ( You don't get this from the red button access from a TV)

Even with a fast internet connection (7.5 MB/s), a good HDMI cable and Wired to directly to the ADSL router this device produces noticably jerky motion on Iplay. My comparision was using IPlayer with on a Humax HDR and IPlayer on a Panasonic TV...

Easy to use...

 

Once this is all set up, it's easy to use to play movies, listen to music or look at pictures, all stored on your PC. It is also good for watching BBC iPlayer and several other internet based TV stations and listening to internet radio stations...
