Motorola, in collaboration with T-Mobile in the US, is having a second dabble in the social networking mobile phone market with an update on its highly

Motorola's original CLIQ smartphone (called the DEXT in Australia) was a budget Android smartphone that was heavily focussed on social networking. The...

The Motorola Cliq 2 is a nicely finished updated to the original, and is a much better Android device for power users this time around.
Clear voice quality. Fast CPU and high-resolution screen. Wi-Fi calling. Hotspot mode. Free GPS navigation.
Heavy. A little buggy. Short talk time.
Otherwise, this is a solid Android phone. It syncs Exchange e-mail, contacts, and calendars. Android Market offers access to roughly 200,000 third-party apps. The free Google Maps Navigation offers voice-enabled, turn-by-turn GPS directions with an...

When the Cliq came out back in fall of 2009, I was pretty impressed with it. It was the third Android phone to debut in the United States and the first from Motorola. What I liked best about it was how much thought Motorola put into its design. But the...
Excellent business and entertainment features ; Superb keyboard
HSPA+ is spotty ; Camera is average
The Cliq 2 is an excellent follow-up to the original Cliq with a superb keyboard and some very useful features, but if you take a lot of pictures with your phone, you'll be disappointed with the mediocre camera.

All things considered, you can't help but feel a bit sorry for the Motorola Cliq 2. Though it offers a sleek design and an exceptional keyboard, it made its debut at CES 2011 alongside the more glamorous Atrix 4G and Droid Bionic . With their dual-core...
The Motorola Cliq 2 offers a terrific keyboard, a fair number of features, and a vibrant display. Call quality and multimedia performance are satisfying.
The Motorola Cliq 2 traps its memory card slot behind the battery cover. The volume level for standard voice calls could be louder, and the Motoblur interface won't be for everyone.
The Motorola Cliq 2 delivers a usable design and agreeable performance, but we were hoping for more feature improvements over its Cliq predecessors.

First announced back in late 2009, the Motorola CLIQ was not only the company's first attempt at an affordable Android QWERTY phone but the debut for MOTOBLUR . It's taken over a year for the true successor to emerge, the Motorola CLIQ 2, and Android,...
Compared to its predecessor, the CLIQ 2 is a huge improvement. The display and build-quality are particular stand-outs, as is the performance from the 1GHz processor, and we prefer MOTOBLUR when it’s not so all-encompassing. Unfortunately, it’s still...

Not too long ago, Android smartphones were a rare breed as the open platform attempted to gain traction with the aid of hardware manufacturers. Crazy to believe, but Motorola's endeavor with Android come to fruition back in the fall of 2009 as the...

In 2009 Motorola launched the Cliq -- an entry-level slider -- debuting Motorola's social networking centric Motoblur user interface. Unfortunately, the original Cliq was plagued by complaints o...
Overall, the Motorola Cliq 2 met and in some cases exceeded my expectations. In particular, the keyboard, overall performance, and build quality were impressive. Business and casual users alike will appreciate the ability to integrate contact...
