Can the inclusion of a dedicated graphics chip elevate Samsung's Series 7 Ultra above the current glut of Ultrabooks?
Fantastic screen ; Dedicated graphics ; Decent battery by ultrabook standards
Last-gen processor ; Keyboard and trackpad could be better ; Pricey (unless you can find a discount)
The Series 7’s jaw-dropping screen and dedicated graphics chip almost blinded us to its last-gen processor. Almost.

The Samsung Transform Ultra gives Boost Mobile users a powerful, keyboarded Android smartphone to take advantage of the carrier's inexpensive plan pricing.
Solid performance. Fantastic plan pricing.
Low-resolution screen. Mediocre voice quality.
The Transform Ultra runs the latest version of Android, 2.3.4 (Gingerbread), and Samsung has done very little to modify it. You won’t find Samsung’s TouchWiz UI extensions here, and there's very little in the way of bloatware or preinstalled apps,...

When Sprint first introduced the Samsung Transform a little over a year ago at fall CTIA 2010, the most remarkable thing about the Android QWERTY slider was Sprint ID , the carrier's experimental attempt to let people pick thematic startup profiles for...
The uncluttered Samsung Transform Ultra has a pleasing design, a front-facing camera, and runs on Android Gingerbread 2.3. It also carries Mobile ID, which some people may appreciate.
As far as keyboards go, the Samsung Transform Ultra's is a little flat. Its camera quality is also pretty poor.
The Samsung Transform Ultra is a worthy QWERTY handset to join Boost Mobile's Android lineup. Mobile ID offers something different, but not everyone will want it.

We first saw the Samsung Transform Ultra debut on Sprint's Boost pre-paid network, but now the midrange handset has made its way to the post-paid side of the business. The specs remain the same - notably a 1GHz Snapdragon S2 processor, 3.5” display and...
Good build quality ; Physical keyboard ; Smooth performance
Spacebar is a bit flimsy ; We’d have preferred a higher resolution display
Samsung has done a good filling the mid-range Android slot in Sprint’s lineup, and the Transform Ultra is a worthy successor to the Transform. It does not set out to make any radical changes, just offer better overall performance than its predecessor....

Samsung are all set to unleash the Transform Ultra on the Sprint network. It will pack interesting features such as a 1GHz processor, a 3.5-inch HVGA display screen, about 512MB RAM and 2GB storage and Android Gingerbread to put it all to good use. The...

The Samsung Transform Ultra is the first Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) smartphone on Boost Mobile's network. While the original Transform was released on Sprint, this particular follow up is making its debut on Boost Mobile as their main flagship...
Overall the Samsung Transform Ultra easily ranks in as an 'Average' level smartphone for the entry to mid-level market. The market that it's aiming for is still relatively lucrative and while there are some competitive smartphones in the market, the...

Don't buy this phone. It fails with overheat, burnout, and poor support. I am sending it back a 3rd time in only 5 months. There are a number of stories online about this phone overheating and ultimately failing to charge, the charge circuit burns out....
Android, small, works when it works.
Overheat problem, failure to repair, low quality camera and screen. Iffy reception. Sprint ID is kinda dumb.

I bought the Samsung Ultra on Black Friday at half the price, what a deal, so I can't complain too much. But my WIFI has disappeared to my own home modem. Samsung told me to it may not accept my WPA2/PSK setttings and to switch to WEP instead. I don't...
Front-facing camera is a plus; can hold up to 32 GB SDHC card; Google Play Store has decent amount of apps; Qwerty keyboard easy to use; thin enough for back pocket; voice quality clear; WIFI capable; Bluetooth capable; MP3 player; camcorder.
Android screen too responsive at times; picture quality not the best; wifi has disappeared on my device and needed to be reserviced; doesn't always recognize certain apps and device needs to be rebooted; battery time is short; device overheats.
