Gateway pushes the versatility envelope with its 24-inch FHD2400 monitor. It combines good image quality, a slick design, a great on-screen display menu, and optional speakers that provide fantastic sound.
Amazing sound quality Lots of input options
No Display Port connection
Gateway's FHD2400 didn't outperform the competition in image quality, but it found a comfortable spot in the middle of the pack, resulting in a score of Very Good. The display cost about $550 at the time of this review, making it a great choice for...

Gateway FHD2400 (24-inch)
A lot of connections including component and HDMI, plus four USB ports; screen coating smoothes out images; speaker bar option for built-in sound; pleasing aesthetic design.
Poor performance in key DisplayMate tests; backlight bleed through on dark scenes that you can clearly see under normal lighting conditions; optional speakers exhibited some distortion.
Although this 24-inch LCD delivers with an abundance of features and a sleek design, the Gateway FHD2400 stumbled in the labs. No single performance problem is a deal breaker, but there are enough of them to prevent a stronger recommendation.

I hooked up my PS3 (gaming getting better), my computer (AMD X2 6000+, 2GB ram, XFX 8600GT, etc) and I am really satisfied. BUY IT. I was a loyal samsung buyer and i love them, but this monitor tops anything that is out there. The last gateway i bought...
this monitor is SUPERB!!!! I am just speechless. I was going to buy a samsung T240 but my trip to circuit city changed my decision. My brother has a HP W2007 and i glossy screen is beatiful!!! After i saw gateway FHD2400, i was amazed with the picture...
However couple of bad things: 1) one death pixel at the top right corner. I don't care but still it is a con. 2) the factory pre set is very bad. Install the cd and it will automatically calibrate for you. Update the program online to make it more crisp

Don't purchase this or any Acer product - this type of service should be against the law. Will file a complaint with FTC... Love NewEgg though, not a reflection of NewEgg in any way.

Purchase this monitor with high expectations. Did not purchase extended warranty. After 15 months the monitor failed. Gateway's first question - did you purchase the extended warranty - Gateway's response - sorry we can't help you. Took monitor to a...

Two Words: DEAD PIXELS! I have started to get dead pixels on it and the thing isn't even 2 months old
Consumer review (newegg.com)
Defects are a fact of life in the computer world. I understand this and we all have to tolerate this at some point. Based on my first impression of this monitor and the other reviews, I am remaining optimistic. However, If this doesn't work out for the...
The monitor itself is gorgeous with impressive specs and every type of input possible. The built in USB hub came in handy while organizing my desk space
Received the monitor with one hot pixel out of the box. About 1 week later, red vertical lines started to show up that appeared to flicker. The display went grainy and the color was way off. Gently tapping the screen fixed the problem temporarily but...

If I had received a perfect screen I would have found the price to be perfectly reasonable for all the options and quality this monitor have to offer. As it is I don't regret buying this monitor as it still has all the options I was looking for but I...
Vibrant color compared to my 20" lcd I have next to it. The casing is stylish and its shiny finish works well with the glossy screen. Lots of connections.Easy to move around and adjust on my desk which was nice considering the size. Lower resolutions...
Well I have a stuck pixel that is just to the left of center of the screen which is a real bummer but which has gotten dimmer or I am just good at ignoring now. I have some light bleed around the bottom, top, and left side which really I only find to...
