A unique design for a mouse - but is that a good thing?
Responsive ; Portable ; Works well with Windows 8 ; Easy to connect
Pricey ; Not for desktop PCs
The Microsoft Wedge Touch Mouse is certainly not going to be to everyone's taste, and we had some serious reservations when we first saw the design, but it's actually not that bad at all if you want a light mouse to quickly work on your tablet when a...

Microsoft's Wedge Touch Mouse is a tiny Bluetooth mouse designed specifically to work with Windows 8. We tested the Wedge Touch Mouse with a Samsung Series 7 tablet running Windows 8 Pro, alongside the Wedge Mobile Keyboard.
It's not cheap, or big. And on first site the Microsoft Wedge Touch Mouse looks as though it wouldn't be comfortable for long-term use. But like Windows 8 itself, we found it surprisingly comfortable and efficient to use. It's well built, and stylish....

Every once in a very long while, I get to review a product that strikes me as a stepping stone toward the future. Microsoft Lync 2010 combines instant messaging, VoIP calling, live meetings, and videoconferencing, but it's more than the sum of these...
Don't even think about shopping for a new enterprise phone system without adding Lync to the list of candidates. Take a good hard look, and encourage your organisation to download the trial and take it for a ride. This is the first UC system I've...

The teeny weeny Bluetooth Microsoft Wedge Touch Mouse is the latest creation out of the software giant's hardware division, and it's been built from the ground up for Windows 8 and all those new PCs, laptops and tablets expected to launch in late...
Microsoft's Wedge Touch mouse is a novel idea and for those who need to get work done regularly on the go (we're thinking cross country train journeys rather than short bus rides) and it’s ideal for all those Windows 8 devices just around the corner....

The Microsoft Mobile Touch Mouse is tiny and lets you take Windows 8-friendly four-way scrolling anywhere.
Tiny innovative design. Vertical and horizontal scrolling is ideal for Windows 8. Easy Bluetooth connectivity.
Awkward form factor.

The future of Microsoft may be all about touch, but there's still some room for mice: behold Microsoft's elegantly designed mini mouse, made to accompany future Windows 8 tablets.
The ; has an elegant, extremely compact, and surprisingly usable design, and works as well as advertised.
Touch gestures are limited to basic one-finger four-way scrolling, and a $70 price tag feels too lofty.
Executives dying for an ultraportable mouse to go with their Windows 8 or Android tablet will find a beautiful companion in the Wedge Touch Mouse, but it's a lot to pay for a pretty basic set of functions.

When Microsoft first announced the Wedge Touch mouse for Windows 8, plenty of people wondered whether the blunt, flipper-shaped device was actually practical. Its accompanying keyboard, meanwhile,...
Innovative form factor that actually works ; Tiny and light ; Surprisingly comfortable
No Windows 8 gesture support ; Relatively pricey ; Scratches easily
The new design is great, but Microsoft could have taken it further

If you believe what you read about Windows 8 and touch, the mouse will be dead in October. And yet, I'm here to tell you that that's premature...for now. Microsoft, in fact, is making its own set of touch mice in advance of Windows 8's formal launch....
