It would be fair to say that the approach many gaming peripheral manufacturers take is to throw in as many features as they can. That could be the massive amount of buttons on the likes of the Razer Naga. Or the high DPI of the Kone XTD and G700s....

Includes probably the most accurate sensor you can buy, comes spare feet and changeable dpi on the mouse.
It is ambidextrous unlike my old mouse, so it took a while to get used to.
