It has the spec, but does it have the appeal?
It's not helped by the fact that what you do with them isn't always obvious either – the context sensitive button, for instance, is used to go up a folder level, but not when you're in the Now Playing screen. You have to hit the menu button on the top...

The iAudio7 is a chunky player, but sadly the solid looks don't match the sound, and it's a right old fiddle to use
Extensive specification ; impressive volume ; rapid, attacking sound
Tiny, overworked display ; infuriating fascia controls ; stocky looks not matched by the sound of the low end ; miserable headphones
Some things – KitKats, for instance – are better for being chunky. We don’t think an MP3 player is, especially not one that’s such a bind to use

Well designed, compact and a decent music player
Good sound ; Stylish and easy to use
Picture quality only average
An impressive and capable MP3 player

This 4GB flash media player's a doozie. Like most devices of its size, it's not so hot for video - tiny screens and tinier processors maketh not for a compelling viewing experience - but as a picture viewer and MP3 player, it's a cracker
Good sound, Stylish and easy to use
Picture quality only average
An impressive and capable MP3 player

The Cowon iAudio 7 is a compact, Flash-based player that measures just 3 inches long by 1.4 inches wide (but a chunky 0.7 inches thick), and it weighs only 2.1 ounces. Its tiny 1.3-inch TFT LCD screen responds more quickly than the OLED display of its...
Small, lightweight design Records voice and FM radio
Screen is too small for watching video Average audio quality
Despite its middling audio quality, the Cowon iAudio 7 works well for listening to songs and the radio, and for making occasional audio recordings, but it's too small for video, and you should see if you can master its peculiar controls at a local...

The iAudio 7 portable media player is hampered by a poor user interface and a lousy screen.
FM radio. Radio, voice, and line-in recording. Decent file support. Excellent battery life.
Tiny screen, terrible for photos, video. Graphics look out of date. User interface confusing to navigate. Buttons easy to activate accidentally.
it turns out that these are all the files on the player, including photos from my test suite that loaded onto the player but can't be displayed because they are incompatible. this is actually a useful featurea visual reference if you want to use your...

Cowon iAudio 7
The Cowon iAudio 7 is one of the most versatile MP3 players available. It plays music, video, and photos; has unbeatable sound quality; records line-in, voice, and FM; supports OGG and FLAC file formats, plus DRM-protected WMA; works in MTP and MSC...
As tiny as the iAudio 7 is, it's still about three times the width of an iPod Nano. The reflective, glossy plastic found on the front and back of the player is prone to smudges and glare. There's a learning curve to the Swing Touch interface, and we...
The Cowon iAudio 7 beats the industry heavyweight iPod Nano in price, features, battery life, and sound quality. The user interface could use some refinement, but all-in-all this is a very impressive MP3 player.

A power-packed little player with a range of settings and options, and excellent battery life.
Expert review by : Nikhil Pradhan (pcworld.in)
The Cowon iAudio7 is feature-packed, plays more formats than other players and also has pretty good audio playback.
Extensive Audio Format Support ; Good Audio Quality ; Outstanding Battery Life ; Feature Rich
Hyper-sensitive Controls ; Small Screen ; Unrefined Interface
Out of the box, the Cowon iAudio7 supports more number of audio formats than any of the other players in the top 5. The audio quality is also pretty good but hyper-sensitive controls and a small screen don't help matters.

Cowon makes some of the most interesting digital media players we've laid hands on. The iAudio 7 is no exception, although it won't earn a place in our pantheon of favorites.
Broad file-format support; great sound; innovative features
Display is much too small; no support for WMA Lossless; odd touch-sensitive controls
Cowon dedicated more surface area to the iAudio 7’s touch-sensitive control surface than they did for its display. The screen is surprisingly legible for its size, but our eyes tired quickly while browsing folders displayed at a resolution of just...
