How does Samsung's YP-T10 compare with today's class-leading players? Jon reveals all.
The same understated and cool design cannot be said to extend to the menu system, however. Flick the power switch and the screen that greets you is not the usual Samsung cool blue-and-black, but a bright, brash and quirky, cartoon-style system. It...

Great features and excellent sound, this good value portable also features a cool design
Great interface ; excellent sound ; good video quality ; fine specification
In-ear ’phones aren’t the most comfortable – otherwise nothing
If you want an alternative to Apple, here’s a great (and cheap) place to start

Smart and stylish, the Samsung YP-T10 media player packs a host of features in a compact user-friendly design.
The Samsung YP-T10 is a well-constructed, simple to use media player. Sonically, it may not beat the iPod nano yet but if you’re in the market for a smart, feature-rich MP3 player, the T10 is for you.

A strong competitor to Apple's iPod nano, the Samsung T10 combines a touch style interface with a great screen and a robust array of features.
Stylish, slim, nice interface, Bluetooth connectivity, great screen
Video conversion is a little annoying, touch sensitive buttons may not be for everyone

Samsung's T10 is good-looking and easy to use, but doesn't work with enough file types.
Well-designed. Sharp screen. Intuitive interface. FM radio. Bluetooth capabilities, including call answering. Customizable backgrounds. Voice recorder.
Limited file support. Touch-sensitive buttons not very responsive. User EQ is weak.

Here's a PMP that's a superb travel companion; it even has Bluetooth with A2DP for effortless file transfer.

Samsung's super-cute player has several enchanting features — including a dancing dog — but its touch-sensitive controls can be temperamental.
Beautiful screen ; Super-cute animated menus ; Software has podcast support ; Illuminated keys look snazzy
Touch keys can be annoying and imprecise ; Smudgy surfaces ; Proprietary cable connection
If you do choose to nab a T10, you'll be presented with a wealth of options. The player comes in 2GB (AU$149), 4GB (AU$199) and 8GB (AU$289) varieties in a colour range last seen in a roll of Lifesavers.

Sitting back and looking, there really isn't one feature that Samsung forgot to put on the T10! This is truly one loaded player for the money. They're taken every popular feature you could want on an MP3 player, added full Bluetooth 2.0 capabilities...
