The YP-U3 is an absolutely fantastic music player. It combines everything you could want from such a device including brilliant sound quality, a great design, convenient transfer and loads of extra features. Those after a music player will be hard...
Great sound, slim design, looks great, drag and drop, impressive controls, nine-band eqaliser
Nothing of note

It's almost criminal how much hot, steamy gadget action you can get for less than a hundred clams. Take Samsung's new YP-U3, a pack-of-gum sized...
Lots of bang for the buck, and flash memory means snappy playback and good battery life. Tiny form factor is great for outdoorsy, Ironman types. Sliding USB connector is handy, and eliminates cables
Easy to accidentally hit the touch-sensitive buttons, so the Hold button is a must – but then you can’t advance tracks. D’oh. Only time will tell if plastic case can hold up to the rigors of portable play. And why no FM recording

And Samsung has (just barely) wrested it from the Sansa Express.
Tiny. Bright screen with cool graphics. Easy navigation. Great FM radio and recording features. Voice recording. Flat, touch sensitive buttons.
Easy to accidentally trigger buttons. Earbuds are so-so. Mediocre battery life. No FM recording.
Samsung's slick new flash player is well-designed, tiny, and easy to use.

Samsung U3
The Samsung U3 features a cool design and a built-in USB interface. It's inexpensive and easy to use, yet still offers some handy features such as an FM tuner and a voice recorder. It also supports OGG and WMA subscriptions, and the package includes a...
The Samsung U3 doesn't offer the best sound quality, and the touch-sensitive controls won't appeal to everyone. It has a small, monochrome display.
The Samsung U3 is the proof that a basic MP3 player doesn't have to be ugly and featureless; it's simple, inexpensive, cool-looking, and perfect for the gym.

Samsung MP3 players have always been a hit-or-miss affair, and the U3 is predictably a mixed bag.

Industrial cool looks. Monochrome OLED clear and legible. Good FM reception. Good sound quality.
... unless you turn the volume up. Can't play/pause tracks when in menus.
With its sound quality and industrial chic look the YP-U3 stakes its claim to being the king of USB key MP3 players.

The Samsung U3 has been on the market for a while now, but like other small players like that it's not as easily outdated as bigger players that fight for the newest features. With the exception of adding OLED screens, players like the U3 have more or...
All in all the U3 is a nice player with some flaws, but still a viable option if you're in the market for a miniplayer. Price wise it's about the same as the alternatives (although the MSRP is higher) so it all comes down to what features are more...

U3 is a funky music player, but its' FM is a let down
Great display ; Good sound quality
Low bass ; Poor FM

Samsung's MP3 player design department, perhaps drunk on the desirability of its K5 and K3 designs, has released this bizarre little U3 player.
