An MP3 player of surprising quality from a name we just didn't expect. That's the headline on the Sansa E200 series of players which pitch squarely up to the iPod Nano and come off quite well! We check our the big daddy the e270.

SanDisk Sansa e200R
The compact SanDisk Sansa e200R Rhapsody can play back music, video, and photo files and is available in capacities of up to 8GB; works well with Rhapsody; includes dual Rhapsody and PlaysForSure mode; includes an FM tuner, a voice recorder, and...
The SanDisk Sansa e200R Rhapsody's tactile scrollwheel is both a blessing and a burden; must convert photo and video files using bundled Sansa software; occasional low-level system noise underneath audio; proprietary USB dock connector; no AC adapter...
Thanks to an improved feature set and GUI, the Rhapsody version of the flagship Sansa player is better than the original.

SanDisk Sansa e200 series (mp3 players)
The SanDisk Sansa e200 series combines copious features such as subscription compatibility, an FM tuner/recorder, voice recording, and photo and video playback into a compact and durable device. We like the tactile navigation wheel, as well as the...
No AC adapter in package; the buttons surrounding the SanDisk Sansa e200's scrollwheel can be difficult to press; the mechanical scrollwheel can tire out some thumbs; photos and video must go through conversion with bundled software; the expansion slot...
The SanDisk Sansa e200 series offers a boatload of features for a reasonable price, in a package that is much nicer than that of past SanDisk models. For those looking for a high-capacity, compact, skip-free MP3/WMA player, start with the e200 series.

You may have read my article on how I chose my latest portable audio player, the Sansa e280. The e200 series is essentially all the same model except for the storage amounts (2, 4, 6 and 8GB). Here is my review of this player, but let me say upfront...

With a few modifications, the SanDisk e200 could be a killer.
Great sound; logical menu structure
Intermittent freezing; small buttons

The SanDisk Sansa e200 series includes the e250, e260, and e270. The 2GB, 4GB, and 6GB are a new breed of high capacity flash based MP3 player set to compete in features, as well as price, with the Samsung Z5 and iPod Nano. The Sansa e200 has a few...

Sound Quality, Build Quality, Ease of use, Strong feature set. I have had several MP3 players -Zune, and Ipod and Sony Walkman. This one is the best! I have sold off my others but this one is a keeper!

Could have sent me two for the price of one.
That right Sandisk plugs right into the head set speaker case. Sound quality is the best. Get naked with the grooves and dance the night away.
Cannot share the estacy of this device unless they are plugged in. Get your own. :)
Consumer review (newegg.com)
overall i am satisfied with product, but it requires some minor modifications to make it a truly great product.
made to fit with sansa players, sound is great for price, very comfortable fit, blocks out outside noise
minor design flaws, 1) has a straight connector instead of a side mount wire, so eventually the wire is going to get ruined (unless you tape/glue it extracted out. 2) the angle of the ear pieces are such that they do not fig snuggly enough against the...
