More ink than you'll probably ever need
Two years worth of ink ; Decent print quality ; Affordable price
Too wide ; Awful print speeds ; Lengthy setup
If your main concern is keeping costs down, the ET-4550 might be the ideal printer for you. But if you have any other needs, you're better off looking elsewhere.

The Epson EcoTank ET-4550 all-in-one inkjet printer is pricey, but includes so much ink in the box that you won't need to pay out for ink again for years. This particular EcoTank machine is feature packed, with wi-fi, automatic double-sided printing...

Low running costs, but a high asking price for Epson's top-end Eco Tank printer
Excellent economy for heavy ink users ; Good quality output
Slow print speeds ; Topping up ink tanks is a messy process

The Epson WorkForce ET-4550 EcoTank All-in-One Printer costs a lot for a personal multifunction printer (MFP), but it comes with all the ink most users will ever need.
Bottles of ink and large ink tanks dramatically lower the cost of printing. Ships with enough ink to print 11,000 monochrome pages or 8,500 color pages. Prints, faxes, scans, and copies. Automatic document feeder. Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct.
Paper capacity is suitable for personal or light-duty shared use only.
Conclusion Certainly the strongest argument for the ET-4550 is its low ink cost. But by turning the marketing paradigm of low-price printers with high ink costs on its head, Epson has also introduced a bit of sticker shock for the printer itself.

It's Sunday night. You're halfway through a 10-page presentation that's due first thing Monday and you get the dreaded “out of ink” message. And no, you don't have a backup cartridge.

Having used a HP printer for several years I found I was having to spend nearly £70 every couple of months in ink. I bought this printer as it comes with 2 years supply thus saving me a huge amount of money. It was a bit fiddly to fill the tanks with...

Have a few eco tanks at our business. Very cost effective and easy to use and set up.
Can be slow when you have more than one printer to connect and you all need to be on the same Wifi point, however you can limit who prints to it in the same way
