It may have an idiosyncratic design, but all the essentials of a mid-price all-in-one are there - even an Automatic Document Feeder.
Powered photo tray, ePrint and Airprint for flexible connection, Low running costs
Slow duplex print, Large footprint for A4 printer, Little control over ePrint documents

A touchscreen-controlled, wireless, dual-tray all-in-one for well under £100 has got to raise some eyebrows, but how will it print?
Excellent print quality, Responsive touch panel controls, Powered photo tray
No duplex print, Need adapter for xD cards, No Pictbridge/USB socket

HP's Photosmart 422 consists of a digital camera that docks with a matching printer. The price is a bargain but is the quality more than basement?
The lens system is termed ‘HP high precision’, which tells you little, but in use it produced reasonable shots, up to the holiday snap standard many casual photographers will want. It includes innovations such as in-camera red-eye removal and HP...

Its solid performance and its access to a range of web-based printing apps make the HP Photosmart e-All-in-One an acceptable choice for home users, however.
The HP Photosmart e-All-in-One performs well, and its web apps are a likable addition. Unfortunately, in other respects it's a pretty limited machine with expensive inks.

The HP Photosmart Plus also pumps out great-looking output quickly- something that few other models in its price class can achieve.
The HP Photosmart Plus packs a lot of performance into a low-cost MFP package, with well-priced inks to boot. Other models in this price range can't boast quite as much.

Great-looking output without breaking the bank: that's on offer from the new HP Photosmart Plus.
WiFi; impressive printing speeds; sharp, crisp prints
No automatic duplexing; basic feature set
The HP Photosmart Plus packs a lot of performance into a low-cost multifunction package, with well-priced inks to boot. Other models in this price range can’t boast quite as much.

The Photosmart Plus is the latest in HP's new range of all-in-one devices. It sits in the middle of a new 'easier to understand' set of all-in-ones, with a Photosmart Premium at the top of the tree and a plain old Photosmart at the budget end
This is an impressive all-in-one from HP. It's fast, well designed and the touchscreen makes using it easier. For the price, it's well specified and the compatibility with the iPrint Studio application is great. If we're being critical, we'd have liked...

This is a 15x10cm photo printer and also comes with a digital camera. The camera has rechargeable batteries and takes power from the docked position on the printer.

HP's Photosmart Plus (B209a-m) inkjet multifunction is affordably priced and looks good, but it lacks the print quality of competitors -- and even of its own predecessors. The touch-sensitive control panel is a nice addition. However, some tasks, like...
Prints quickly, touch-screen control panel, integrated Wi-Fi ;
Touch screen is too small, poor photo print quality, expensive consumables, no CD/DVD printing, can't choose quality settings when scanning directly from the multifunction ;
There are better inkjet multifunctions available for the price of the HP Photosmart Plus. Though the touch-screen control panel can make some functions easier to carry out, the inability to easily configure wireless access or print directly to CDs and...
