An all-in-one printer which hides its purpose well, but offers all the main functions in a low-profile, elegant case.
Large touchscreen control with gesture recognition ; Remote printing via ePrint ; Very stylish looks
Hard to open, low-capacity paper tray ; No PictBridge support ; No separate photo feed
There's a single USB socket at the back of the printer, but given its intended home in a living space, it's most likely to be connected wirelessly. HP provides drivers for both Windows and OS X and as well as standard software offerings includes access...

Created with the same stylistic flair as HP's like-named laptops, such as the HP Envy 17, the HP Envy100 e-All-in-One gets green points for being free of PVC plastic and for having ink cartridges made with recycled materials.
The HP Envy100 e-All-in-One looks better than it works, but the fashion-forward users who are likely to consider this model probably have similar priorities. You can find other cool-looking models whose inks aren't quite so pricey, however.

The Envy 100 has a stylish, compact design and allows you to print straight from the iPad
Attractive, compact design; excellent, laser-like text output; supports AirPlay
Fairly average photo quality
The Envy 100 is a very good general-purpose printer, but was somewhat lacking in its overall performance. Photo enthusiasts may also prefer to look at some of its more specialised rivals if you know that you need to print high-quality photos on a...

The HP Envy 100 e-All-in-One is stylish all-in-one multifunction printer that enables you to print documents from anywhere, using the web as a means of rapid printing of letters, charts and photos sent from home to ...
HP has to be applauded for extending the reach of printing outside the office with the Envy 100 e-All-in-One - and also for making it so slim and stylish. But there are clearly some technical blips to sort out, and with only average speed and...

If you're a home user with moderate printing needs, HP's Envy 100 e-All-in-One inkjet multifunction is one of the best printers designed for home use that we have tested in 2010. It's quiet operation, intuitive printing and stylish design, will make...
The HP Envy 100 e-All-in-One printer is very well designed for use in the home. It is not fast and it doesn't produce high quality photo prints, but for printing text and colour documents it is acceptable. It is very stylish, quiet and compact, three...

The HP Envy 100 e-All-in-One is a sleek and snazzy multifunction printer for home use.
Snazzy looks. Abundant all-in-one features. HP Web apps and ePrint. Automatic duplexer.
Slow at document printing. Slightly sub-par photos.

HP's Envy100 e-All-in-One color inkjet multifunction printer (for printing, copying, and scanning) makes being decorative a higher priority than being useful. Created with the same stylistic flair as HP's like-named laptops, such as the Envy 17, the...
Sleek, decorative profile
Slow performance
Built for style rather than efficiency, this multifunction printer operates adequately but expensively.

HP Envy 100 e-All-in-One
New ePrint feature enables wireless printing by e-mail; Web-based ePrintCenter offers expanded functionality via downloadable apps; ePrintCenter with free app store offers versatile functionality; enclosed cartridge bay for quiet printing; slick design...
Slow print speed; tricky wireless setup; two-ink-cartridge bay produces mediocre photo quality; low-volume paper input tray can only hold 80 sheets at a time.
Boasting a touch-screen display, an app store, and ePrint (a remote printing service), the HP Envy 100 features loads of innovation in a slickly designed chassis. We wouldn't buy this printer for its image quality, but the convenience of ePrint and the...

Other printers should be envious of the Envy 100's good printing looks, but they might smirk at its ordinary print speeds.
Genuinely stylish design ; Supports apps ; Supports e-printing from smartphones and tablets
Touch panel is imprecise ; Large footprint for a "living room" printer ; Slow printing in normal mode ; Expensive for a multifunction
Will HP's Envy 100 bring printing into the living room? We've got our doubts about that particular ambition, but we've also got to admit that the Envy 100 does present a nice eye-catching printing solution, backed up by decent print quality. It's no...
