Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS650: big brightness from a compact projector

When brightness is the main thing

Exceptionally bright ; Potent built-in speakers ; Good overall picture quality

The Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS650 is a powerful ultra-short-throw projector that doesn’t get everything right, but it does provide exceptional brightness for the price and has a good built-in speaker system.

Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS650 Laser TV UST Projector Review

The Epson LS650 sets itself apart with its simplicity. While it lacks calibration controls and some features, such as Dolby Vision support and a wide color gamut, it has high brightness and ease of use that should work well for everyday TV watchers.

No Netflix support ; No advanced calibration controls ; No Dolby Vision support ; No 3D support ; Loud fan noise at full brightness

In my experience, the Epson LS650 is a unique unit in the UST space, and it's not because it's loaded with tons of features, but rather it's more for its simplicity. It just works, and everything works well. It takes a no fuss, plug-and-play approach....
