If you want a simple Freeview HD solution then this Sharp box may be what you require, but it's not quite the finished article
Sharp, detailed picture with standard and high-definition broadcasts ; intuitive EPG
A few operational issues ; could be slicker to use
A good option for those wanting Freeview HD but not quite the complete article

Fast and furious Freeview HD, but lacks the versatility other boxes offer
Excellent interface and EPG ; HD picture quality
Average SD pictures ; Tiny remote control
With a list price of £189, Sharp's first stab at a Freeview HD set-top box seems vastly over-priced, but look online and the TU-T2 is already discounted – and a good job, too.

Clear space in your home entertainment setup - it's time for another black box! Freeview HD is the latest logo on the nation's shopping list, and you'll find it on three distinct products: integrated TVs, set-top boxes and Freeview+ HD recorders. That...
Breezy user interface, HD channels
SD pictures, basic remote, no Top-Up TV cards
Smart and simple, Sharp has come up with an excellent interface for its debut Freeview HD receiver, though the TU-T2 is limited. There are few extra features aside from Freeview HD access, and SD programmes can look drab, though it's a likeable box...

Picture quality is excellent, the upscale on normal definition broadcast works well and HD receiver appears better than that in tv.
Expensive for a FreeView box without PVR facility but picture quality worth it.

Easy to install and operate. Fast response from the remote channel change etc. Small size make it easy to hide away. Fantastic image processing, the picture quality is excellent.
That blue LED array on the front needs an intensity control, far too bright.

LED lights on front of box too bright
Consumer review (reevoo.com)
Installing it, is very simple, assuming you’re using an HDMI cable, the box simply scans in the channels, which takes minutes. Picture resolution is set to upscale to 1080i by default but you can alter it to 1080p. Looking forward to the upgrade of the...
Blue LEDs arranged in a square on the fascia is a distraction particularly as it can’t be disabled. The sound reverts to low when viewing a HD channel. Tried changing it on the Reciever and on the TV but to no avail? Cannot understand why the HD...

Easy to use
Not enough information on picture resolutions and range of Digital TVs that are compatible with the product.

I bought this for my daughter as she so admired my machine and it is the answer to not having Sky for ease of operation - who wants to make Robert Murdock and his family more wealthy than they already are and have more of a stranglehold on the world.
