Had high hopes for this based on other reviews. Bought this to replace a next generation rc extender (rf transmitter in the battery converts any IF remote) for house-wide control with one less device. A mistake - the next gen extender works far better...

Range is not "up to 90 feet" as advertised, but more like 20-25 in reality. Can't use it across the house or from other rooms if too far away. Receiver plugs directly into USB port - no dongle or extension - placement options are limited and can affect...
