Logitech's Harmony line of universal remote controls have become synonymous with simple computer-based programming; and despite its low $49.99 (direct) price, the entry-level Harmony 300 is no exception. In order to keep the price low, Logitech had to...
Dead-simple PC-driven setup. Comfortable design. Least expensive Harmony remote in Logitech's lineup
Lacks programmable macros. No display for adding extra on-screen buttons
The entry-level Logitech Harmony 300 offers pain-free universal-remote setup, but lacks the LCD and macros you'll find on more-expensive Harmony remotes.

Logitech Harmony 300
Solid universal remote with good ergonomics; updated wizard-style setup software is optimized for tech novices and works on Windows or Mac PCs; ultra-affordable price tag.
The Harmony 300 only controls four devices and requires a computer with Internet access to configure. For just $30 more, the step-up model adds an LCD screen and uses the activity-based commands that Harmony is known for.
If you're looking for a cheap and easy universal remote--and you can live with its streamlined feature set--the Logitech Harmony 300 is a great choice.

Cheap and cheerful, the Harmony 300 does what it says on the box, but not much more.
Very inexpensive ; Fairly idiot-proof ; Solid construction
Maximum of four devices ; Some clearance Harmony remotes may be better value
Amongst the hordes of very cheap screen-free remotes on the marketplace, however, the Harmony 300 has some appeal. It's easier to set up than most of them at around the same price point. If you're after a simple remote and have very simple needs (and...

Back in April Adam Turner reviewed the Logitech Harmony 900 universal remote control, which costs a cool $899.95. In the interests of balance, we decided to also have a look at the cheapest model in the range – the $59.95 Harmony 300.
Price; easy setup
No screen; limited functionality

Never write reviews but this is the first time ive bought a product that worked even better then advertised. Anyone who has used a universal knows the problem of never having all the buttons to control all the functions of the remotes it is replacing....

Easy to set up. Easy to use. My wife constantly complained about the difficulty of switching between devices on our video system. This remote allows one touch ease between those devises. She loves it!

Consumer review (tigerdirect.com)
The buttons on my Harmony 880 started sticking, so I had to find a replacement. I decided on the 650 and am glad I did. The software added all my devices and activities from my 880, I only had to reprogram my favorite chanels. The buttons on the 650...

This is an excellent remote. sometimes it misses setting the right input on a device as the power on and input change are sent to rapidly. The help function usually fixes that pretty quickly. I am unable to give it a 5 star for quality as I have only...

It's a good remote and does just what you want. Keeps you from having to turn on all different things to watch TV. TV,DVR Box, Reciever etc. One button turns all things on and one button turns all off. That alone is worth having the remote. Only one...
