There's not a lot the 7100 can't do. Topfield's done a fine job in combining all the relevant features users and PVR buyers will be looking for.
Expandable USB storage ; Easy to set up and use ; Functional network streaming
Firmware upgrade needed to iron out issues ; Possible lip sync problems with weaker signal strength
Topfield has certainly returned to form with the 7100. It's convenient with a capital "C" to use and the expandable USB storage feature will future-proof it for a while — something that definitely gives this PVR a distinct edge in the current marketplace.

Personal Video Recorders, or PVRs, take the stress out of watching TV by recording programs with a single touch of a button. Topfield wants you to ‘Break free from the way you watch TV' with its new PVR, and we would have to agree.
Ease of use; Connectivity; Hard drive; Includes Wi-Fi USB dongle; Expandable storage; Performs smoothly; Dual tuner; MP3 compatibility
Some lags experienced when scrolling through the interface

Topfield has made a big comeback in the race for the best high-definition PVR. We present here the Topfield TF7100HDPVRt. It looks pretty much the same as its predecessor the TF7000 which is to say it is rather pretty and has the rare virtue of being...

I would not recommend buying a Topfield 7100. They are very expensive and sell themselves as being a premium product but they are not! Ours often froze and wouldn't startup properly during its first year, and also frequently lost channel settings. Then...
Okay while it lasts.
Unreliable. Expensive. Very poor value.

We are pretty well stisfied with the performance except when the guide is different to the printed one and you only get half a movie.

We've had ours for nearly 12 months with IceTV and it's worked great. Can be a bit technical to set up and maintain i.e neede firmware upgrads to get Ice connectivity working well. No real problems at all.
Looks good, wireless connectivity
User interface can be clumky

I love my Topfield but I also hate it with a passion. We have ours registered to Ice TV so we can record series etc. When it is all working properly it is absolutely wonderful. However, we regularly have "hiccups" with our system. It jams, it loses...

I bought this unit to upgrade from a Hot chip SD box with 160G HDD as it was getting to full all the time. While the interface, favourites and program recording set up is ok the box is far to unstable and firmware updates seem to keep reverting. I have...
Can skip far ahead when FFW shows
to unstable and unreliable
