This scanner did not copy the slides well. The program kept locking up and have to reboot the pc and my laptop. Color quality from the copy was very poor. I am returning. It was very DISAPPOINTING!

As with the Xerox 5445, I'd like the Xerox DocuMate 5460 even more if it could recognize text at full speed (which some scanners can) and included an LCD that showed profile names instead of numbers. Even as it is, however, it's an impressive beast....

the metal ends are uncomfortable under boots that are snug at all.
Definitely a work horse. I use a Mac and have blown through so many boxes of scans with this thing. I had a several hundred thousand page scanning project that was pretty simple and mindless because of this machine.
HD DISc would not work...no help from company...no invoice in box...
After reading reviews of this product, which seemed to suggest it was a decent tool, I found that its colour rendering was hopeless. Green grass (which WAS green in the slide) turned out a dark orange/brown. No amount of fine-tuning the R/G/B elements...
Sold me an outdated version without usb capabilities without including it in the description. I spent almost as much on the fix as I did on the project in the first place.
Honestly, I have given this product a try several times, over several computers and cannot get it to scan. Only black images show up. I am not a Luddite, but this thing just doesn't work reliably. I would suggest another option. I tried using Windows...
When buying this it said it was compatible with Mac 10.4 and over and also states that on the box it came in. I put the CD in my macbook and it only has windows software on it and I am unable to use the scanner. Where can I get the Mac software for this?
i chose this partly because it came up on a search for a mac film and slide scanner unfortunately when i tried to load the driver soft ware i was told it was not supported by my mac, pity now i must wait for a refund before looking again.
Dust on the sensor will create a vertical streak across scanned images. This problem can occur after only a few scans so scanning to an SD card or USB drive does not work because the images will have streaks and you won't be able to see it. Each scan...
It took 18.5 seconds to scan an A4 original, regardless of whether it was in colour or monochrome or a document or print. Snapshot prints took just under 12 seconds to scan. We found the scanner cropped a bit off the top and bottom of some of the...

I tried this product for a weekend and found the 5 Megapixel definition of the scanner to be unsatisfactory, and the instructions were not very clear. I compared the projected image from my 35 mm slide projector on a screen about 1 metre square and...
Perceived speeds are underwhelming, perhaps because Plusnet doesn’t offer the 10 or 20Mbps connections some ISPs do. But actual measured speeds tell a more impressive story. Plusnet users enjoy relatively fast connections with a 5.5Mbps average and...
The design of the scanner is ok and the product is very compact and portable. Customer support respond promptly when you ask for help.
When I was a kid, computerized math tutoring came in the form of the Little Professor, an educational device made by Texas Instruments. While it was a fabulously geeky toy for my elementary school self, the Little Professor did have its shortcomings –...
We use these in our business PDAs. A few years ago, I would have given this 2 eggs due to many issues, but for the past 2 - 3 years we have had good success in daily use. You just have to understand how it scans in order to have a high first scan...
A mediocre performer. It amplifies noise equally so you get the same weak signal in relation to the background.
Fast scanner with great quality Scanning of Reflective materials
The Dimage model I have is a bit earlier than this one, but I thought you'd like to know about Minolta's driver update practices. For my Dimage scanner, Minolta chooses not to update the driver from XP to Vista, effectively tuning my scanner into an...
Although this is marketed as a portable scanner it is still bigger than other scanner out there. It is about the size of a small printer. The scanners software is for older versions of windows and for older computers. The scanner does not come with a...
