Canon CanoScan LiDE 220 review

The CanoScan LiDE 220 is a good stand-alone A4 scanner, but you could get a decent MFP for similar money

We'd recommend the LiDE 220, but only if you really need its high resolution and extra bit-depth. If not, a cheaper scanner would do, or for the same money you could buy a mid-range multifunction peripheral and get prints and copies thrown in.

If you need to scan photographic prints and an occasional short text document, but don't need to scan film, the Canon CanoScan LiDE220 Color Image Scanner is our top pick.

High-quality photo scans. Image enhancements include color restore and dust removal. Scans to searchable PDF and editable text formats.

Extremely limited software. No photo editor. Inconsistent commands from one choice for scanning to the next.

The Best Cheap Scanner

After 40 hours of research, testing four units that made our final cut, we chose the Canon LiDE 220 as the best flatbed scanner for everyday users.

Canon CanoScan LiDE 220 Mobile

Easy to set up, purchased to allow me to scan documents as searchable pdf. Software easy to use took a little time to get use to it. The manual could have done with better documentation get the best from the software but only a minor gripe.
