Canon's ImageFORMULA P-208 is a neat, USB-powered, portable scanner, with optional wireless connection. Strangely, no OCR software, though.
Well-designed support software, Automated and one-touch scans, Plastic card scan
Fiddly paper guides, No OCR software supplied, Can only scan to graphics files

Consumer review (reevoo.com)
Simple to use and comes with great instructions. Easy to scan straight onto my PC to a location that I choose.
Nothing.

Works like a dream Decent software, easy to master Good size, easy to carry
Hard to open feed door USB lead on the wrong side for normal desk layout / use No case included (Optional accessory)
Consumer review (reevoo.com)
simple to set up and use
the paper guides are a little flimsy and sometimes require paper repositioning
Consumer review (reevoo.com)
I needed a portable, duplex scanner to speed up the process of copying client's documents in support of, for example, a mortgage application. The scanner is very compact. One face is exactly the same size as a 30 cm ruler, the other face is only...
