HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow 7000 s3 Sheet-Feed Scanner

 

For much less than many similarly rated document scanners, the HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow 7000 s3 includes excellent software and delivers a high 7,500-page daily duty cycle and fast scans.

Low price. Fast scanning. 7,500-page daily duty cycle. Text recognition when scanning to searchable PDF files is fast compared with competitors. Includes excellent software package.

Bundled business card software is complicated. Though better than competitors, still significant lag time between scanning and saving to searchable PDF.

Compared with competitors costing more than $1,000, the $850 HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow 7000 s3 Sheet-Feed Scanner is a good value. Like its slightly less-expensive sibling, the ScanJet 5000, it comes with a complete software bundle, including document...

The HP ScanJet Enterprise 7000 S2 Sheet-Feed Scanner is blazing fast at scanning to image PDF files.

Very fast in scanning to PDF image files. Good software selection. LCD for selecting scan profiles.

Application software must be installed separately. Relatively slow in scanning to searchable PDF.

The HP ScanJet Enterprise 7000 S2 Sheet-Feed Scanner ($1,099 direct, 4 stars) is a formidable desktop business scanner, blazingly fast in scanning to image PDF, yet relatively slow (at least when compared with top models) in creating searchable PDFs....

I bought this because a teeny-weeny rubber part fell out of my old HP 6010, rendering it useless. This isn't a beef about the 7000, but consider the frustration of a modern user. I knew that only that rubber part needed replacing, and also knew that...

I was a bit leery of buying a scanner with only one online review, but my experiences with the HP 6010 had been good -- until the incident I'll relate below under 'other thoughts' -- and so I decided to spring for this one. I'm glad I have it. I...

(1) The price ; (2) I tried downloading software for the install from the HP web site, and turned to the CD only when what I downloaded didn't get the scanner to work. One of the install programs on the CD looks to have been written for Windows 3.1....

Was using the Canon scanners before. They did not hold up. This scanner is used every day heavily and it works great. I would recommend this scanner.
