Slow and my sample jammed every 2 nd scan

This is a great scanner providing you have good quality film to scan, if you have any scratches or dust then you'll really want the i model with infra red scan. Scan quality is great at 7200!
Unfortunately my film had been damaged by snappysnaps and this model isn't the greatest at removing such damage on certain colours within the image.

Absolutely fantastic scans at the highest DPI, especially when left in a RAW format. Very easy to use, don't usually consider using provided software editors and would usually stick to photoshop for serious photos, but the provided Silverfast product...
Could always be sharper, and does not achieve it's full potential due to it's optics only truly showing half the resolution once scanned at full DPI, but it's still fantastic. An incredibly annoying film holding mechanism for loading film, especially...

Easy set up with Windows 8. Replaces old Nikon scanner. Quality seems as good or better. Have only used for slides so far - scanned about 200 so far with no problem.
The editing software installed OK but took forever to process the image. I binned it and use the Quick scan function, afterwards editing in Photoshop as I used to do with the Nikon scanner I had previously .

The scanner is fast in several modes. If you don't want fantastically detailed scans this is the one for you and even so, teh quality is very high, getting down to the detail of the grain of the slide if you prefer it.
Setting up went wrong but I eventually contacted a Mr Hill in England who was brilliant at sorting me out and gave me a swift tutorial.

Good quality scans at decent resolutions. Reasonable software
Can be difficult to align slides - needs some occasional adjustment of the slide carrier position before scanning. Quite expensive unless you have a lot of films/slides to scan.

software supplied is useless

neat little system which, so far, has done what it said it did on the box
the reason I hesitate to recommend. Well I did one of these on a Cybersystems highend computer, the onboard graphics chip fell over after 9 months. Hope I did not mislead anyone. Will not do it again.
