This is just the best handheld analog scanner you can buy and I have tried them all. Great sound, great reception, no noise or static like the others, big bold display, great controls. BUY ONE.

Will not follow a Motorola type II system after being re-banded. For some reason it will not lock into the control channel on some sites. Have tried everything including the custom band plan for 800.

Well, if you have been into scanning awhile and now want to monitor digital trunked signals in your area this is for you! If you are a novice and never used a scanner, or your area doesn't use any form of trunking then it may not be for you! People...

this thing is impossible for a novice to learn, the directions are so technical you need a college degree to figure out even basic programming, got it for a gift and returning it for an easier to use model... im very good with electronics and i cant...
