A neat clock/smart speaker hybrid, but other similar devices do more
Compact, attractive design ; Google Assistant built-in ; Optional wireless charging base
Touchscreen sometimes lags ; Can’t play videos ; Lack of camera may disappoint

The Lenovo Smart Clock 2 is a great addition to your night table. It has all the power of a Google Home, plus a lot of extras, in a small package.
“The Lenovo Smart Clock 2 is a great evolution of the Smart Clock product line that adds a lot of functionality and value.”

The Lenovo Smart Clock 2 has been redesigned to work with an optional wireless charging dock, but otherwise doesn't offer any benefits over its unimpressive predecessor.

At Rs 6,999, the Smart Clock 2 is a great little alarm clock that also happens to be a terrific smart speaker.

Over the past couple of years, smart displays have come in all sorts of shapes and sizes including as small as Lenovo's latest Smart Clock 2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE7-_dJ3RIY Design & Hardware Like the original model from 2019, the Smart...
Compact design ; Casting audio is still supported ; Can do most things that a Google Assitant smart speaker can ; The wireless charging dock is a nice added bonus
No video streaming/casting from YouTube or other services ; Same internals as the original ; Wireless Charging Dock bundle makes it more expensive
Overall, the Smart Clock 2 is a nice incremental update to the original but still has its limitations.

It's a little expensive for an alarm clock, but it's a solid bedside companion.
Narrow body takes up less space, display is tuned for looking at in the dark, wireless charging base includes a nightlight and extra USB port
Lenovo moved the first-gen's USB port to the optional charging base, it's not exactly a boombox, Nest cam feeds are the only video you can cast to the display

The original Lenovo Smart Clock was a nifty smart display that was great for the nightstand. For its second act, Lenovo is changing up the shape of the clock a bit and adding in a new dock. Did Lenovo mess with a good thing or make some helpful...
Good size for nightstand ; The display isn't too bright at night ; Front-firing speaker sounds better than expected ; The dock is a great addition to a nightstand
Sometimes, the nightlight controls didn't respond ; Google Assistant reaction time was inconsistent ; No USB port on the clock itself
Lenovo made some smart improvements to the original Smart Clock and added a great accessory in the new dock. The wireless charging pad and nightlight are excellent for a bedside table. The only real downside is when the nightlight controls glitch or...
