A tracker you don't have to charge
Super-long battery life ; Always-on display ; Functions as a watch
Software not as fun as Fitbit/Jawbone ; No phone notifications ; Not as pretty as alternatives
Low on style and a little low on substance, but year-long battery life and a highly customizable interface make the Garmin Vivofit 3 a good low-maintenance tracker.

The Garmin Vivofit 3 was announced in February 2016, and is a wrist-based fitness tracker with an LED display screen and a variety of activity tracking options. We liked the Vivofit and Vivofit 2, but they struggled with accuracy during some fitness...

The Vivofit 3 is a solid, simple fitness band that tracks your steps well at a good price.
One year battery life ; ANT+ Heart rate monitor compatible ; Swappable bands ; Water resistant to 5 ATM ; Can be placed in belt clip
No vibration alerts ; Unable to set alarm on smartphone app ; Only one button
The Vivofit 3 is a solid, simple fitness tracker that does the basics well. After wearing a GPS powered do-everything watch for the past year, it was refreshing to return to a small, light fitness band that wasn’t continually interrupting us with...

Garmin's Vivofit 3 does a fine job monitoring basic activities, but there are better fitness trackers out there for the price.
Comfortable. Tracks calories, distance, intensity, sleep, and steps. Waterproof. Long battery life.
Cheap-looking design. Small, dim screen. Slow to automatically register activity. Doesn't count stairs climbed. Drab and cluttered app.
Conclusions The Garmin Vivofit 3 is a straightforward fitness tracker that doesn't do much to stand out. It's fine for keeping tabs on basic stats, but the display is disappointing, the app isn't great, and the overall look isn't all that attractive....

Garmin's latest fitness tracker has long battery life, can be worn in the pool and features interchangeable bands.

The Garmin Vivofit 3 occupies an interesting place among entry-level fitness trackers. It tracks more information than the Misfit Shine 2 or the Misfit Shine 2 , and it's easier to view this information on the Vivofit 3 than on similar devices. But...
Long battery life ; Simple interface ; Garmin Connect app
Uncomfortable band ; Not as accurate when tracking running
The Vivofit 3, the latest version of Garmin's low-end fitness tracker, stacks up well against the competition.

Got this as a gift and they loved it. This has some good features and is good at counting steps.
Consumer review (johnlewis.com)
Bought this for the wife as she needed a new Watch and some way of counting her daily steps, this is just the job and also she has a skin allergy against metal and this watch is all nice plastic. Superb.

Decent step tracker, my 9 year old loves it. Big issue is the strap. It is not a traditional watch strap but instead is 3 point which push into the strap holes however they do not secure the watch at all well and result in it falling off several times...

This is a good fitness tracker as I wanted one that was waterproof, you can swim with this Garmin on, and this makes it practical to wear when cycling in the rain.
