The Honor Band 5 doesn't reinvent its predecessor as much as it improves some of its problems, and that's okay.
Affordable price tag Improved sleep tracking Expanded exercise roster
Screen sometimes unresponsive Must be plugged in to power on Notifications temperamental
The Honor Band 5 is a small, but steady, step up from the Honor Band 4 in many regards. It’s got it’s problems, for sure, but as one of the most affordable fitness trackers on the market right now, it’s easy to forgive these issues.

The Honor Band 5 is an astonishingly cheap fitness tracker; so is it good value for money, or is it not even worth its low price?
— Low price, great screen, enduring battery
— Not a big improvement over its predecessor
The Honor Band 5 would be a very good fitness tracker even if you weren’t looking at the price tag. The fact that it delivers such an excellent all-round performance at a dizzyingly low RRP makes this an easy recommendation; you won’t be disappointed.

Despite being an iterative upgade, the Honor Band 5 provides nearly everything a beginner could ask for. Here's why it just falls short in its quest for best budget fitness tracker.

We review Honor's latest fitness tracker! Xiaomi's Mi Band series is the top dog when you're talking about budget fitness trackers. But don't count out Huawei sub-brand Honor, whose Honor Band 5 is set to do battle with their bang-for-the-buck rival....

The inexpensive Honor Band 5 fitness tracker offers surprising functionality for the price, though it must be teamed with your smartphone for GPS distance measuring.
Rock-bottom price. Small but sunny AMOLED display. Decent fitness and sleep tracking features. Good battery life.
No GPS. Notifications can preempt workout setup. Stiff straps.
Bottom Line: The inexpensive Honor Band 5 fitness tracker offers surprising functionality for the price, though it must be teamed with your smartphone for GPS distance measuring.

At Rs 2,599, if you can live with the noticeably slow response, there is really little to complain about the Honor Band 5.

Honor has made the Band 5 swim proof, but is that enough?
Bright AMOLED display ; Excellent sleep tracking ; Accurate activity tracking ; Swim-proof
Proprietary charger ; Poor battery life with all features enabled
The Honor Band 5 is an incremental upgrade over the Band 4, which it replaces. Honor has retained all the positive attributes of the previous model, such as accurate sleep tracking and that bright AMOLED display, and has now made the device swimproof....
