Slow to use ; Big and bulky

The Nubia Alpha is a little too big and burdensome, both to hold and use, to be immediately appealing - but it sure is a handsome handset.

The Alpha really is a striking thing and the fact that it’s actually going to be available is a surprising bonus, since products like these have a nasty habit of appearing at tech shows and then never seeing the light of day.

At MWC 2019 in Barcelona we were able to test a flexible smartwatch, which thinks it's a foldable smartphone: the Nubia Alpha.

The Nubia Alpha is a bit of a UFO in the smartwatch and smartphone landscape. Admittedly, the device attracts curiosity, but its usefulness remains highly debatable. The flexible screen is great, but at the moment it's rather difficult to image wearing...
