On the FunkyKit we had a break from ADATA products so it's time to bring back this interesting brand and show some of its products.
respectable performance ; inexpensive ; good performance to price ratio
could be faster in random operations
Even though SP900 256GB M.2 SSD is based on already old LSI SandForce 2281 controller, ADATA improved its firmware and design to provide inexpensive but fully stable drive which is offering good performance. For sure we can find faster drives on our...

Good compressible data performance.
outperformed by some competitor drives.
Kitguru says: The Sp900 is decent, but it faces stiff competition at the price. We would need to see some price reductions before giving it a higher recommendation.

The affordable, compact, and versatile ADATA Premiere Pro SP900 M.2 SATA solid-state drive (SSD) is built around aging technology, but it's still faster than a spinning hard drive.
Affordable. Speedy SSD for everyday tasks. Two stick lengths available.
Aging core technology. Lagging throughput benchmarks when compared with rivals.
The Premier Pro SP900 has a traditional SATA interface, and the same LSI SandForce SF-2281 controller chip as older SSDs. While this helps compatibility and keeps costs down, it also means that newer SSDs are faster. The drive is limited to the slower...

Solid state drives are the buzz right now in the consumer storage market, and for good reason. They provide incredibly high speeds over standard hard drives, they take up less space with their 2.5″ form factor, they are silent, run cool, and use...
?The Windows TRIM optimization command can directly delete stored data in the Flash memory and release unused space (Free Blocks) to be used for system writes immediately. This results in more accelerated transfer and write performance for solid state...

Final Thoughts When ADATA first sent me this drive I thought to myself wait a minute it is basically the same drive as the ADATA S511 / S510 right? The only thing that really is different is the type of flash memory that is used and the SP900 has the...
– Good performance, – Comes with adapter and software, – 3 year warranty
– Performance will go down when the drive is full

Consumer review (newegg.com)
The objective wasn't to go with the fastest or biggest but bring some life back to an again but fully capable laptop. I pulled a 320g mechanical drive from a Dell 1545 and installed this 128g ADATA. WOW! what an improvement It's not the fastest SSD but...
Price and function. It is capable of doing everything I need in a travel laptop used for email and browsing.
None for what it is.
Consumer review (newegg.com)
I'll continue to buy Adata SP900's as long as they keep making them, great SSD's at a reasonable price with good read/write speeds comparable to a Samsung 850.
- Great cost for performance - 0 failures
None that I can think of.
