Crucial BX100

If you can find the BX100 at a good price, don't hesitate, buy it!

This SSD is very fast and very reliable. Install was quick and easy once initialized and drivers installed. I own 2 of these and they are both solid running on Windows 7 & 8.

Price!! When I bought this, it was a great deal while on sale, now the price is Much higher and you can find comparable and even better SSd's cheaper. This looses an egg because of the Very high price.

Great Addition

Will standard Hard drives go by the wayside and be replaced by these?, it is possible

I like that the SATA cables were easy to install into the SSD They are small and store well in my case Have not had any issues with performance quick

Failed after 6 months

Wouldn't recommend it, big hassle getting Crucial to replace it after it failed out of warranty period.

Price competitive

Failed after 6 months (used as OS drive, blue screens became more and more frequent)

Replacement for hard drive on Mac Mini (Late 2012)

Make yourself very familiar with the replacement process before starting. Gather all your tools and some hardcopy instructions. Suggest a muffin tin to separate and hold the array of screws to be removed. Be sure your Time Machine backup is available...

No special adapters needed. Doubled the memory on a Mac Mini and installed this SSD so I could run it more efficiently as a server. Significant performance increase over original hardware. Running El Capitan at the moment.

Takes a lot of patience and a light touch. Don't start this project at the end of a stressful day.

Highly.

Fast, reasonably priced, and the shipping was done well.
