Recommended!

The only real fault is Intel's failure to support this drive with firmware that supports TRIM commands. Intel support is a shame compared to OCZ's excellent SSD support.

Very fast drive, especially when used in RAID0. Because of the exceptional small-file read speeds this drive makes your whole system faster and more responsive. Good value also

No negative issues with the drive. Used one for 7 months with no slowdown whatsoever despite lack of TRIM. This was confirmed using ATTO benchmark 2.46. I had expected a slowdown when the drive got "dirty" -- but there's none

Very Poor Support

I will never buy anything from Dane-Elec again. If I don't hear from them in another week, I am going to contact PC World and see what they can do for me.

Was able to migrate from same size-80gb-in my couple yr old HP laptop. Everything that requires reading is FAST! Loading Windows makes me feel like I have a power rig. Was disappointed to find out that this was a Gen 1 Intel drive and did not support...

Worst tech support I've ever come across! Try to find Dane-Elec. The box said danedigital.com. All I ever got was 404 errors. Dane-Elec doesn't have anything on their website about SSD's at all. Thank goodness it is a rebadged Intel X-25. I bought this...

Almost a Well-assembled kit

Hint: The trial version of Acronis True Image Home cloned my drive perfectly. It works so well you might decide it's worth paying for the full version.

80g Intel drive, well-built exterior case, 2 connection cables (one standard USB/mini-b and one USB/ac power in case the single USB isn't enough to power the drive). I love the ease of repurposing the replaced drive

The included software (Acronis Migrate Easy) will NOT clone anything larger than the provided SSD drive. For example: I installed this in a new netbook with a 250g HDD. Migrate Easy failed every time I attempted to run it. I eventually discovered...

Super-fast, low cost. 14 second Windows 7 boot

Doesn't support TRIM. My understanding is that Intel drives without TRIM (which this has) don't deteriorate as fast as other brands' drives

Amazing speed

I hope it doesn't end up dying on me. Not saying that it will, but there is that chance. It comes with an external enclosure.

Fast. It definitely speeds up the boot times and overall speed of your computer when it needs disk access. So far I am very impressed

I haven't really seen any con, other than the price probably could be even cheaper if it didn't come with the external enclosure. I won't use it, seeing it's an internal drive. Some may want that, however

Buy Beware

New Egg was great per norm, they offered to allow me to return (no return cost), or since the price drop was within 7 days of purchase they offered to credit my account the difference.

Low cost for a SSD, Buying 2 and placing in raid0 would be great for the price as Raid0 conf doesnot allow trim anyway

This is a G1 NOT G2. Does not support Windows 7 Trim Command. Not sure How well Intels Toolbox supports the older models. Probably the reason for the recent price drop, dropped 50 bucks in three days. Would highly recommend buying current versions....

Grinding Noise

The disc tray slides out much faster than it slides back in. I also own the same drive with Lightscribe. I noticed that this drive looks identical to a more expensive Plextor drive except for the front faceplate.

Super Fast. Simply put, this drive will speed your system up like no other piece of hardware can. Windows 7 boots in under 15 seconds!! It restarts in under 10!! Google Chrome loads absolutely instantly. I haven't even installed any games on the drive...

Somewhat small, but with another drive for Music and data, its enough

Intel SSD, enough said!

Your hard drive is the single biggest bottleneck in the entire system, w/o a fast HD your only going to get so much performance, no matter what cpu, mobo, vid card you have! If you get this drive you will be extremely happy! i7 930 - can go over...

It's an SSD! Really any SSD upgrade from a mech drive is a HUGE upgrade! But, Intel SSD's are rated the best, so your really going to be happy with this purchase! I freaking love these drives, I have 2 in RAID 0. But, even with one your in heaven! 1 =...

NONE, maybe no trim support, but not a huge deal! SSD's are not cheap, so anyone saying price here should be gagged! For the performance you get its worth the price
