3D stacked memory comes to the mainstream
Speedy performance ; Good-value ; Five-year warranty
Not a huge generational leap ; Definitely consumer-class SSD
The fastest mainstream SSD around, just not necessarily one to shake the solid state world.

The Samsung SSD 850 EVO offers the same sort of class-leading performance of Samsung's SSD 850 Pro drive, along with impressive management software and a lengthy five-year warranty.
Very fast performance on a SATA-connected solid-state drive (SSD). Generous five-year warranty. Available in capacities up to 1TB.
A little pricey.

Samsung hasn't stopped impressing me in the SSD space. The early Samsung SSDs weren't very good, but ever since the introduction of the SSD 830 Samsung has been doing a brilliant job and has been setting the bar for performance, cost and reliability....
There is still hope that the MSRPs are just conservative and street prices could end up lower. If they don't, while the 850 EVO is clearly the best performing "value" drive, it likely won't see the same sort of success as its predecessor. Samsung also...

Samsung's 850 EVO is one of the fastest SATA SSD's ever made. Does the newly launched M.2 850 EVO pack the same punch? Let's take a close look.

Consumer review (very.co.uk)
Bought this to replace my slow HDD after my other SSD gave up. It's a good quality SSD but it doesn't come with a SATA cable or power adaptor (those desktops running on older PSU's with 4 pin power leads)
