Ran great for a few days then died

Be aware that there is a real difference between buying from Newegg and buying from a Marketplace Seller. That is particularly true of the ease of return. I emailed the seller as per instructions on the Newegg site and got an automated response from...

I installed the drive in an old (2005) HP laptop running Windows 7, and it really perked it up substantially. Installation was quite easy, as was cloning.

Unfortunately, less than a week in, the drive simply died. None of my other machines would recognize it, and neither would the Windows 7 installation disk. It was toast.

Replacement SSD works well

The first one worked so well with a WinXP install that I bought a second one so I could experiment w/a Linux install. Both work fine so far.

works great in Compaq n620c laptop; fast; uses less power than conventional HD; formats just like a conventional HD; easily recognized & formatted by both WinXP and Linux (Debian 8) install CDs; in use for a few weeks & works great so far

none so far other than item seems pricey, but, you get what you pay for so hopefully it'll out-last a magnetic media drive

runs the ata 100 controller on the pc wide open.

Working Dell C540/C640

Works well

Installed this SSD on my 10 year old Dell Inspiron 700m and it worked. I was able to reinstall all my old software without any problems. My computer is running 343% faster now according to HD Tune. Maybe I'll be able to keep my laptop for another 10...

None so far, except for Newegg shipping. I placed my order on 11/29/2013. I selected the Super Eggsaver (4-7 Days) shipping method. I did not receive my order until 12/19/2013.

nice upgrade

This SSD with Diskeeper brought new life to an old laptop that we have had for the past several years, running windows XP.

This SSD is a nice upgrade to an old laptop. Through-put is much faster then the old PATA HD that was in the laptop. Very reliable. No errors after 5 months.

A little high with respect to price.
