While they'll cost you $50 more, Audioengine A2+ multimedia speakers improve on an already good product with slightly better sound when hooked to your computer via a new USB connection.
The ; is compact set of attractively style powered stereo speakers that delivers impressive sound for its size. This new "plus" version adds a digital USB connection, an output for an optional subwoofer to the existing two audio inputs, and a...
The speakers lack a remote control, the volume control is inconveniently located on the backside, and there's no way to toggle between inputs. The Audioengines are also a bit pricey compared with less refined PC speakers.

The Audioengine A2+ Wireless are another pair of great-sounding speakers from the American company behind some of the best powered PC speakers.

Audioengine's A2+ Wireless speakers are ideal for anyone who doesn't want to sacrifice stereo separation, accuracy, or DSP-free audio in the Bluetooth era.
Excellent sonic clarity, with a focus on accuracy. Solid connectivity, including output for subwoofer. Handsome, streamlined design. No DSP.
Speakers must be angled upward/elevated on desktops for proper audio experience. Not for those seeking powerful sub-bass.
Audioengine's A2+ Wireless speakers deliver something much of the competition can't: stereo separation. That, along excellent accuracy, makes for a clean, transparent sound signature you don't find among most wireless speakers. In this price range,...

What the Audioengine A2+ stereo speakers lack in extra features, they more than make up for in accuracy and overall performance.
Dynamic, audiophile-quality performance. Sounds clear throughout the frequency range. Uses internal DAC and USB connection for purer audio playback
Wireless streaming only available with an additional, optional accessory. Not for big bass lovers unless you add the separate subwoofer
While most of the consumer audio world has turned its focus to docks and wireless systems, Audioengine remains steadfast in its commitment to the standard two-piece, stereo, bookshelf-style speaker setup. When we reviewed the original Audioengine 2, no...

The key thing to note about these speakers and Audioengine's step-up A5+ is that they are bookshelf-style speakers masquerading as PC or "multimedia" speakers (as these things are apt to be labeled). But unlike classic bookshelf speakers, these...

Preview: Basically it looks like Audioengine read all the reviews the A2 speakers have gotten and took the biggest complaints and fixed them with the A2+. That just sounds like good business to us.
If you wanted a direct connection from your computer to your Audioengine speakers, the A2+ have what you need. While they are still lacking a headphone output (maybe they are saving that for the A2++), the USB connection is now available. For those...

The new A2+ Wireless Computer Speakers may answer the question: Just how small can a speaker system be and still sound good?
Compact Size ; Build quality and finish ; Excellent sound at this physical size ; Flexibility of sources, using analog inputs, Bluetooth or USB components ; Documentation
Matching small subwoofer offered as a package ; Remote control ; Speaker wedges included to tilt them up
At considerably under $300.00 I can’t think of another speaker that is as versatile and nice sounding as the AUDIOENGINE A2+ WIRELESS SPEAKER SYSTEM. If you are looking for small and good, these speakers must be on your audition list.

The Audioengine A2+ wireless active speakers are tiny. Can they sound any good. Can they deliver any bass. And where are they best suited?
True high fidelity sound at its best;Surprisingly full bass;Supports aptX;Subwoofer output
Levels limited by bass handling needs
