Consumer review (newegg.com)

Good sound, cheap construction

One day they will no longer be a neat, compact unit for travel and storage, they'll have cables hanging and both caps up. They'll still sound nice, just not so travel-friendly. Be warned.

VERY good sound for the size! Nice bass, very rich. We use these for travel, or even to work in the garage

The cable reels will eventually stop retracting or refuse to stay deployed. Our power cord won't retract anymore, and the speaker-to-speaker cord will only lock at 8 inches separation ; The tabs that hold the pop-up caps down will break one day too....

I needed this speaker a long time ago.....

Hopefully, the thin cables and little plastic covers will standup to some repeated use.

Great stylish design and compact size for travel and camping. I keep this in my backback and use with my mp3 player as the need arises. It really enhances my daughter's portable DVD player/LCD monitor that came with a standard dimunitive speaker. ...

Impressive!

I wish that they played through the USB charging cable, instead of taking up the headphone/line out jack. The power switch is on one unit, the volume on the other, seems strange, but not bothersome. Over all I am very happy with these little...

These (adorable) little speakers put out an impressive amount of sound for being so small. The slightly rubberized surface makes them easy to grip and yet silky feeling. The magnets snap the units together firmly ; Perfect for netbooks. As someone...

The retracting mechanism for the wires could be better, it hangs up and you end up pulling on them repeatedly to make them coil up... the trick seems to be to pull to the end and almost let go, rather than trying to ease the wire in ; Wires could be a...

Excellent little speakers

These are great little speakers, a perfect travel size. I've tried lots of smaller speakers and these are by far the best I've found.

Amazing Sound

These speakers are unbelievably great to listen to. We use them for our mp3 players as well as our laptops. I will be buying another set I love the fact that they are rechargeable so that you do not have to replace batteries all the time and they are...

Mobile speakers

Surprisingly good sound..the tops pop up with an accordion style tube, helps sound more full and lush with a hint of bass.. much better sounding then built in laptop speakers on my Asus G51J (and those are Altec Lansing). Can't comment on battery...

Small, portable, rechargeable via USB(no carrying extra batteries)

Wind up VERY thin cables..don't expect to stand up to much abuse if constantly pulled and retracted..did I mention the very thin cables..would have been better design if they used or at least had option to use standard external cables..or at least...

Neat!!!!

Looking at other reviews, the charging is a little confusing. The USB cable connects to one speaker, it appears there is a battery in each speaker. In order to observe the "charging" lite both speakers need to be connected. Surprisingly they came with...

Small, R2D2, magnets are clever. Good sound for the size

Cables are short. I'm not sure the storage position (locked closed) will be very durable, just have to wait and see

Excellent product

I originally bought the speakers for easier portability with thoughts of quality being secondary. Imagine my surprise when I hooked the speakers up to my computer and had auditory sounds that were near to surround sound when watching a netflix movie. I...

DIAMOND MSP100R 4 Watts 2.0 Mini Rockers Mobile Speakers - RED

The speakers dont like being played full blast on almost every device ive hooked them up to, they start to crackle. This is not really a bad thing because the by the time they start to peak they are already very very loud. The only reason why i get...

Very small. Very Loud. Magnetic base that holds the speakers together can also double as a mounting magnet, strong enough to hold the speakers upside down. You will never have to worry about these speakers not being loud enough, I never have to use...

The retractable cords on both speakers are just a little too short. About 3 inches is lost due to poorly quality retractors. Although rare, they ccasionally make weird noises when charging, weither its playing music or not. The charging indicator light...
