The tablet itself doesn't do much to stand out, but Amazon has made sure this is a safe, fun place for children. It's packed with things to do, is really durable and simple to use.

Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Edition

The Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Edition tablet is a very simple way to give children lots of guaranteed-safe apps and videos, but it won't easily grow with them.

Less expensive as a bundle than as individual components. FreeTime has a large library of guaranteed kid-safe content.

Awkward for using non-Amazon content. Smaller, less expensive Fire HD 8 has many of the same advantages. Not waterproof.

Bottom Line: The Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Edition tablet is a very simple way to give children lots of guaranteed-safe apps and videos, but it won't easily grow with them.

Good value for tablet, case, warranty, and FreeTime Unlimited. FreeTime Unlimited content is high-quality and kid-safe.

Tablet isn't waterproof. Limited apps in Amazon's store.
