iPad Pro 2 10.5 review, price, release date and features: Apple gets closer than ever to offering a true laptop alternative, with an amazing screen
Amazing display ; Extremely powerful ; Promise of iOS 11 ; Works brilliantly with Pencil
Big price jump from previous iPad Pro models ; Expensive peripherals ; No fast charger in the box
Look past the price and this is a stunning tablet that needs iOS 11 to really feel complete.

A bigger, brighter screen in a compact format – has Apple cracked the tablet laptop replacement?
Amazing audio Smooth and crisp screen Insanely powerful
High price Keyboard is necessary but extra Still not quite a laptop replacement
The iPad Pro 10.5 is a great iPad you can buy if you want an Apple tablet that balances entertainment, productivity and a sleek 10.5-inch form factor. With the tablet-focused iOS 11 update, it's easier to switch apps, even if it's not quite a...

Apple's new 10.5-inch iPad Pro replaces the 9.7-inch model and slots in under the 12.9-inch version
Great new screen ; Pro-level power ; Still really portable ; Top battery life.
Expensive to add Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard ; Do you need the Pro power?

Performance and productivity combine in the best tablet money can buy...
Powerful sound from the speakers ; Impressive display ; Unparalleled performance ; High-quality cameras
Not the most affordable tablet on the planet ; Overkill as a pure multimedia machine
Pricey, but the latest Pro cements Apple’s position at the top of the premium tablet market, with performance and software future-proofing that should keep it there for a long time yet

This isn't a drop everything and upgrade solution, but if you've held off going Pro before, the 10.5 is certainly going to appeal to many.
Great display in an ultra-portable design ; Keyboard accessory now full-size ; As speedy as you could need
Not a huge change over the 9.7-inch model it replaces so not an upgrade proposition for all
The iPad Pro 10.5 is a lovely tablet to not only look at, but also to use. It wins on performance, display, camera (if you ever use it), and size.

Apple's iPad Pro 10.5 is one of the most essential professional tablets of the moment, boasting incredible performance and a much improved user experience in...
iOS 11 improvements ; Slick performance ; Great battery life ; Media monster
Accessories sold separately ; No expandable storage
The iPad Pro doesn’t do much different compared with the older 9.7-inch model, although you do now get a slightly more spacious screen packed into the same dimensions. With strong accessories support, impressive A/V chops and premium performance and...

Tablets just don't get better than this - the latest iPad is phenomenal
Fantastic display that’s perfect for productivity ; Performance that beats full-size laptops ; Superb battery life
Pricey – For most people it’s either this or a laptop ; The best is still yet to come with iOS 11
The iPad Pro puts all other tablets to shame. It’s unbeatable as a multimedia machine or creative tool, and will only get better once iOS 11 shows up

It might look like more of the same – from 2013, no less – but this iPad gets the power-to-price ratio just right
Powerful and snappy in varied use cases ; Slightly thicker body brings practical benefits ; Price is ideal for newcomers and upgraders
Reflective and hollow-sounding display ; Speakers still not up to much ; Rear camera is merely OK
It might look like a regression, but this iPad is affordable and has enough power within to serve you well for years.

Apple has unveiled the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro tablet, alongside a larger 12.9-inch iPad Pro model. Apple claims these iPads are even more powerful than 'most PC laptops'. Does a refreshed design and upgraded Retina display make the 10.5-inch iPad Pro...

Superb screen; Outstanding performance; Excellent battery life
Expensive; Still not quite the laptop replacement for everyone; iOS 11 isn’t out yet
A screen upgrade would have been enough to net the new iPad Pro a perfect score, but the fact that Apple has stuffed in a host of additional upgrades means it's impossible not to recommend it. It's definitely top of the tree, easily the best product in...
