Lenovo IdeaTab Lynx review

Comparing the roughly half-dozen Intel Atom Windows 8 tablets that we've seen to date is relatively easy. Nearly all of them, from the HP Envy X2 to the Dell Latitude 10, are built around essentially identical hardware platforms, starting with an Intel...

The IdeaTab Lynx is well-balanced when plugged into its keyboard base, and offers good battery life, and a bigger-screen alternative to Lenovo's other Atom tablet.

The keyboard has too much flex, and the docking hinge sticks. For only a little more, better products are available.

The IdeaTab Lynx is a perfectly functional Windows 8 hybrid but lacks the lower price of some competitors, or better design and features of others.

Lenovo IdeaTab Lynx Review

Just last month, we checked out the well-rounded performer in the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2, which did justice in the tablet market with its long withstanding ThinkPad brand. However, if you're still itching to save some money on a Windows 8 tablet,...

Affordable price point compared to other Windows 8 tablets ; Great battery life ; Nearly zero bloatware

Sluggish performance with intensive tasks ; Bland and boring design ; Low quality construction

Lenovo IdeaTab Lynx Windows 8 Tablet Review

The Lenovo IdeaTab Lynx Windows 8 Tablet features an Intel Atom Z2760 (1.8 GHz) processor, 2GB of DDR3 memory and a 64GB solid state drive under the hood.

– Bright 11.6-inch IPS display ; – Runs full Windows 8 ; – Long battery life ; – Responsive touch panel ; – Micro USB to USB adapter included ; – Optional keyboard dock ; – Price

– No second camera ; – No full-sized USB port ; – Lower quality construction

When it comes down to it the IdeaTab Lynx is a great Windows 8 tablet that any user is going to enjoy. I think the most compelling thing about the Lynx is the price. At $499 you are getting a great tablet that is going to run full Windows 8 and handle...
