The Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is Samsung's latest flagship mini-tablet. It targets the same segment of the market as Apple's new iPad Mini 4.
Powerful processor ; Great display ; Decent battery
Touchwiz skin still not great ; Runs old version of Android

GALAXY TAB S2 9.7IN 32GB WI-FI BLACK
Expert review by : Chris Hall (pocket-lint.com)
Samsung, perhaps more that any other company in the Android space, has been experimenting with the ultimate tablet recipe for a number of years. We've seen all sizes and various power setups in the company's line-up. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2's...
Vibrant display, 4:3 aspect ratio works well in portrait or landscape orientation, ultra slim and lightweight design, microSD slot for storage expansion
It's pretty expensive, build not as high-end as competitors, graphical limitations, lower resolution than predecessor, battery life not great
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2's strongest aspect is its size and the weight, giving you plenty of display, while remaining light and slimline. There's lot to like about this tablet.

Although Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Tab S2 tablet prior to its Unpacked event, Pocket-lint got the chance to actually hold on at the London leg of its media briefing for the first time. And, we must say, that initial impressions are that...
Useful split screen functions, slim and light build, microSD expansion
Display can be a little too saturated for some conent, not all apps scale well, mediocre battery life

Small but mighty, Samsung's mini Android tablet is seriously good
Ultra-portable size ; Pin-sharp screen ; 13 hour battery life
Patchy sound
The best of the small Android tablets, with a fantastic display, loads of power and excellent battery life.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Review: We review the 9.7-inch model of Samsung's 2015 business and entertainment tablet, another powerful-yet-portable device.
Incredibly thin ; Powerful hardware ; Screen well suited to productivity ; Long battery life
Plastic heavy design ; Deja vu
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is a solid choice for anyone after an entertainment or business tablet, thanks to its sharp, vibrant screen, slim and light design, smooth performance and excellent battery life. However, it doesn’t really do anything...

One of the thinnest and lightest tablets also has one of the most vibrant screens.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 has bright and vividly colorful screen. Its rail-thin design is comfortable and ultracompact. It comes with 32GB of storage, a microSD card expansion slot and fingerprint scanner. Battery life is long.
Unlike previous models, there's no IR blaster. In smaller hands, it's not as easy to use as the 8-inch model.
The large, sharp screen of the 9.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is great for watching media and playing games at home or on the road.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 vs iPad Air 2 comparison preview
Although we've only had hands-on time with the Galaxy Tab S2 it's clear to see that it's a great tablet – even if it has suddenly matched the iPad on screen size, aspect ratio and resolution. The S2 wins on dimensions but it's so close that this is...
