Does Sony make the best 10-inch Android tablet around?
Extremely slim and light, Fast processor and graphics, Vibrant screen with good viewing angles
Ports behind fiddly flaps, Screen not as sharp as cheaper Nexus 10, Limited tablet apps compared to iOS

The lightest, slimmest and water-resistant-est tablet on the market
Really light ; Beautiful screen ; Small apps ; Great keyboard
Awkward, angular design ; Average battery ; Poor camera ; Charging takes forever
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is pretty much the complete package. A fantastic slender, lightweight design topped off with a great screen and clever features makes it the best 10-inch Android around.

If you specifically want a USB only DAC, then the HRT Music Streamer II is an ideal product – it's small, solid and sounds perfectly balanced
Ultra simple design ; beautifully detailed, dynamic and precise sound ; affordable
Not as flexible as something like the DacMagic
Best DAC up to £200, Awards 2011. If you're after a USB only DAC, then this is a great buy

The best tablet Sony has ever made, but still not the best Android tablet on the market
Slim and light ; Widescreen HD display ; Waterproof ; Expandable storage ; Good audio performance
Chassis flexes ; Colours are a little warm ; Old version of Android

Is the Sony Xperia Tablet Z the best Android tablet ever?
Great looking ; Scarily thin and light ; Waterproof
Pale flat screen ; Parts under hatches ; Mediocre performance

There has always been something of an awkwardness around Android tablets, a bitter taste left by earlier dalliances with an interface that didn't really work, and a huge gulf between the premium and the low-quality devices. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is...
Weight, design, water resistance
The display is a little warm, older version of Android
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a great Android tablet. The design and specification is impressive, offering a thin and light tablet that's a pleasure to hold, with the reassurance of protection from water for those inevitable accidents.
Expert review by : Chris Martin (techadvisor.co.uk)
It's a seriously thin device; at 7mm it's the thinnest we've seen and is even thinner than its smartphone counterpart.

Sony has had two attempts at making a high-end Android tablet. The previous Xperia tablets weren't overly impressive and very much became one of the crowd. The firm aims to correct all this with the Xperia Tablet Z.
Sony has made a very desirable tablet in the Xperia Tablet Z. We particularly like its striking svelte design and features that you don't get with rivals such as NFC, its waterproof casing and infrared. However, its slightly lacking performance means...

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z, nothing short of a supermodel. Looking lithe, poised and (to use Tyra Banks' vernacular) fierce, it will make you look...
Water resistance is novel & useful
Ports under flaps can get irksome

Is making a 10in version of the stunning Xperia Z enough for Sony to get back into the tablet game?
A thin, light Android all-rounder that Sony fans will love - but the Tablet Z is a step behind the best
